Question about Auto Generating Sites for AdSense

Hi All,

I was actually searching on the old warrior forum site and couldn't find much information and I was sure there was more there if I remember correctly ...but obviously I don't

The site metawebs.com by Nathen Anderson I think...I see browsing over there that it no longer exists and he is promoting something new I think browsing online.

I know there ludicrously high membership fees made it impossible for you to generate anything and probably anyway those day of generatingincome were more like 2003-2005 given how search engine algorithms have evolved and also multimedia in sites playing a part.

However I am curious to know the story of the demise of that site and business if anyone knows and why and when it ended??

(I was a member there for a month back in 2006 as a bonus offer but opted out after that due to the high fees and I am glad I did)

The forum there was the best part but the forum here is better so paying that much for forum access seemed stupid

Look forward to people's feedback.

Google was really good about finding auto generated sites and taking them out of the listings.

This is true for metaweb sites, traffic equalizer, directory generator, etc. etc. etc.

I did have a few sites like this and the ones that were not removed just had a fraction of the traffic they did at one point in time.

I'm sorry but I can't give you an exact date when this happened.

That's pretty much it. Also, metawebs customers, as I recall, flocked in droves to a free alternative (nichemillions). I myself made a rather obscene amount of money from my nm sites before they started to lose effectiveness. The problem with all of these systems was (and presumably still is) the size of the 'footprint' they leave, and the fact that without unique content (most of them simply scrape and 'repurpose') you have to really research the long tail keywords you will use. And that takes time.

The latest generation of automatic site builders actually address these issues, but they cost. Not as much as metawebs did, but enough.

Thanks Jon...yes I heard of nichemillions. So that doesn't exist any more either I see. How did it work if it was free to use? Did it differ in any other way to metawebs?

Also if you don't mind me asking when you say obscene amount of money...can you give a ballpark statistics like how much over how many sites in how much time?

I think it is probably harder to do this type of income generation in web 2.0 era we are well in and the fact people become ever more web savvy each day.

    Thanks all for your responses.

    Cj,

It seems like you can make far more money *telling* people how to make money using automated adsense sites.

The truth is that those who make great money with adsense has two things going:
    1. A good site with traffic.
    2. readers at that site who love to click on ads.

The teen crowd and those who are motivated to buy/solve something click on ads.

It's a given that google will continue to send traffic to sites that present quality materials for a given key phrase.

    IMHO,
    Sam

"The site metawebs.com by Nathan Anderson "

This morphed into Rip2it.com Nathan is no longer associated with it.

I lost several hundred dollars with this company and I know of several other people who did likewise.

    Thanks Pearson.
Like I said in the end the only valuable thing about Metawebs was their forum and once I found Warrior that became useless.
Hopefully you have made that money back in other ways many times over!!
