Any Kindle Experts Out There???

INTERNET MARKETING

I was wondering if any Kindle expersts could help with this question.

I am wanting to know how a Kindle book is made interactive???
For Example ... A crossword puzzle book , where reader can cross out words etc.

Is this done in the formatting or is this something on the kindle device??

Really wanting any info or resourses you you can help with.

I suspect that can only be done with Kindle Fire, utilizing HTML 5, CSS3 and Javascript.

To do the interactive game design like that, you absolutely need access to Jquery functionality on the platform.

You don't. It's a book.

The Kindle Fire can do things like this, but you have to develop an app, not a book.

Like the guys said above, it could definitely be done but it would not be a Kindle book, it would be an app.

Amazon has apps that are playable on the Kindle Fire and of course you could always create something for iPhones etc.

You can highlight in a regular Kindle though, right?

So would you be able to set up crossword puzzles where you highlight the words?

....just a thought- definitely seems like an app is the best bet, but maybe this could work.

I believe what you should consider, if you're looking for interactivity, is to make your book an app instead.

You can use hyperlinking within the book to provide some interactivity - but not like you've described. basically goto/return. Maybe ok for quiz type books - but not crosswords/hangman/etc type games.

As others have stated you'd need to create an android-based app for kindle fire - or a kindle game (but good luck getting approved for that). Same for nook - or an iOS app for the iPhone/iPad machines.
