Wow - just spotted this incredible tool

Real Time Web Analytics | Lucky Orange

In particular the recordings of what people do on your site... just amazing.
I learned a lot in just a few seconds.

There's a free trial - then it's 10$ a month - take a look.

(Product nothing to do with me btw)

    Thanks Jeskola,
I hadn't heard about that, but it sounds like it might be worth checking out. I don't like the new appearance of google analytics, so I've been looking for an alternative.

It's a nice tool, a little pricey for big sites. I have over a million page views a month and that will cost me $100 per month for the service.

Looks like a tool that allows you to see what visitors are doing in real time rather than the overview that Google Analytics or Statcounter provides.

The only thing it seems to be storing is page views for the month. The rest is short duration real time stats (seems like the last 8 activities)

There are no stats graphical or otherwise that give me Actual Visitors vs Page Impressions and all the other things that are important.

But as the video demonstrates, could be awesome for determining at what point people are not completing a purchase and why. Replaying their actual mouse movements and seeing what they see could be invaluable.

Note: I have been running this for about 30 mins of three different sites and trying to tear apart the functionality .. I may have missed something obvious..

          Nice thanks!

Also useful is the scroll depth on the heatmap - i was quite surprised actually... i know about the fold line... but i actually thought it was a bit of a myth these days.

Interesting, wondering how does this tool work? Does it use javascript coding to monitor clients behavior whilst on site? Either way good find, thanks!

I have been using Inspectlet - Website Heatmaps, Screen Capture, Real-time analytics for while. If you have a ton of sites, might be a better price, since the $40 monthly package covers unlimited.

Though, TBH, it gets a little boring watching the vids after a few weeks. Its good for a site launch, and to test a few things here and there, I wouldn't do any long term contracts - I don't check in that often unless I make major changes to a site.

I find simple heat maps to be less time consuming to see click patterns etc. I think I might try this Lucky Orange, and see if its any different.

Looks very similar to Mouse tracking, video playback of visitors and attention heatmaps - Mouseflow and a few other sites that have the same functionality.

Open Web Analytics is free alternative for heatmaps and mouse movement tracking (although it isn't as good as the paid services)
