Automation is KEY in many successful online ventures...

Many successful internet marketers will tell you that once you've found a profitable formula, you can basically rinse and repeat to scale up your profits. And that's true. There are things you're doing in your current niche that are successful, that will also be successful in other niches.

The problem for many is finding the time to repeat your successful formulas. You may move on to a new niche - only to find that you're now neglecting your old niche. And the profit you may now be gaining from the new niche - is bleeding out from the old niche because of neglect. And you quickly realize that the phrase "set it and forget it" that many marketers use to lure people in with - does not really apply to internet marketing at all.

You find that keeping your online business/s successful is like the circus act where the guy tries to keep the many plates spinning.

That is where automation comes in. Automation to me is equal to pure profit. The more you can automate ANY of your processes, the more profit you're very likely to make.

Some people use outsourcing to help automate their processes. And while this is a great idea, it's not technically considered automation. Automation is a process that reduces the need for human work. In many factories it would be the machines and robots - In the Internet marketing world it's software.

I've recently come across a great automation tool and it's completely free - (PS - I'm not an affiliate or affiliated with this website in any way) - It's a website called "If This Then That" ifttt / Put the internet to work for you.

It has an incredibly easy to follow interface that helps you automate a lot of things. Things like Facebook posts, Blog posts, tweets, instagrams, evernotes, and a lot more.

What are some automation tools that you use?

If by automation you mean smart people running it, I agree. Also, I would probably say you need good "processes" in place, some of which may include actual tasks that are "automatically" run by a computer. But it is my belief that first and foremost you need smart people managing the processes, and you cannot automate everything.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

That's true, not everything can be automated - but I'll bet more things can be automated than most people realize.

Yes, I agree with you, the most important part is the "workflow design" of the automation.

I have spent almost 2 years to learn various automation development tool and I found that 80% of our daily seo task can be automate.

    Great post.

The hardest part is to put a very good guy to program, available and efficient and explain him exactly what you need.

I'd look into the programs that allow you to develop things without knowing code. If you're a programmer, then you're already set to begin automating, but the majority of us are not professional programmers. I'm actually enrolled in a computer science degree program at a technical college near my house and we're currently learning C#. I'm pretty sure this would be the most valuable programming language to learn if you wanted to begin automating your own programs. It's a good asset to know coding languages even if you pick up some of the tools that let you design your own bots without code.

Automation is vital but ensure you understand the manual process thoroughly before feeding it into a program or outsourcing it.

I would add "tracking the progress" as another KEY

  • I find that if I write down the steps I follow, I can refine my process and then automate it. I don't use any particular software, I am a programmer and write a lot of scripts to help me complete task.

I totally agree that automation is the key to internet business success. But I don't really think that there is anything like complete automation since it must require your attention to program.

i use a program to auto power on and sleep the pc,

      example:
8am - power on from sleep
      8.05 - auto restart

the bot that i program will be trigger after restart
then it will start the job

If and how are words used many times in coding. It seems to be almost like a small programming language that an app uses for different social media outlets. Not bad.

Very interesting. But I guess automation also comes with drawbacks and as the ones using it we must be responsible. A lot of automation tools speed up our work but have negative impacts on others such as the case with spam and bots. There is nothing wrong with automating our work because it can help us succeed. We just have to be mindful of its effects on others. Success is so much sweeter when others also share it.
