No actually ... why would it be beneficial? Google likes unique content that provides value to visitors (and advertisers).

You're right. Many domains with different content is better than many domains with the same content.
Probably my question wasn't clear enough.

I want to compare a domain with 2 or more domains with the same content.

I don't have time to update many sites with different content, but I can do it for all, with the same content.
What is your advice? To keep just one, or is better to have 2 or more, with the same content.

With all the Panda updates, I put all my concentration on unique content for fewer sites. I wouldn't go the duplicate content route at all. I've also deleted any autoblog type sites I had. One I had that I was testing, was deindexed by Google completely, so unique content is the way to go.

It can be beneficial but not for search engine traffic.

You might sell the same products via different affiliate marketplaces and need a clone of the original site then just change the 'Buy' buttons. So you can promote one site through Click2Sell, another through JVZoo etc, and all you need to do is change the buy button code. I do this with a couple sites and it's a quick/easy solution.

Other than that I can't see much benefit from having cloned websites scattered around the web.
