If $9 a month is too expensive then your site can't be that big. Why not downgrade to one of their smaller plans?

There are many but I wouldn't want to recommend them here but just Google "cheap web hosting" and you will see a number of them that you can try. There are some even going for only $2.77 a month.

Yep, I've heard of webhostingpad. I've never used them so I can't comment on the quality of hosting but they are certainly a "known" host. Check the WSO's here - theres a couple hosts in there and you can get good cheap hosting that way.

Because their smaller plan support only 1 domain name.

I have a webhostingpad plan and I do not recommend them because downtime is too common. They don't offer pro-rated refunds otherwise I would cancel. So I just have a couple of sites that I don't care too much about on the plan until it runs out. If you are looking for a more reliable "cheap" web host around the same rate as webhostingpad, $2-3/mon, consider Host The Name. Or for around $4/mon BlueHost or WebHostingHub.

Cheap web hosting is cheap for a reason.

Just write like 2 500-word articles a month. That pays for your hosting, and should only take about an hour to do.

If anything, I would never go with a cheap host, just too risky to bring down my whole business should there be down time. the $9+ a month is worth the piece of mind, Hostgator are reputable and have an awesome service and great support.

I have used both HostGator and BlueHost and both are great, very fast site load times and great support. I would probably recommend HostGator as my top pick due to their great customer support.

I am sure that hostgator is the best ever. For more than 4 years being in it and I am still forever, The web hosting never downtime.

I think you should wait for the big discounts that hostgator offers from time to time, from 50% to 80% off. Sign up with different account with different IP address. There are some others I recommend bluehost and hostmonster. I used them but are not comfortable as hostgator.

You can open fiverr account and sell some gigs and pay your webhosting with them or sell eBooks that you created in Amazon kindle publisher.

Just use your imagination and I am sure you find the best solution for that.

I am sure there is something in your budget that can be reduced or eliminated so you can afford $9 a month. If you eat fast food, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, have cable, etc then eliminate those unnecessary costs to put the money into your business.

IF you in search of quality host you should use services from www.XnYnZ.com They are delivering reasonable deals with high stability and knowledgeable support team which is always ready to solve your issues. I have hosted my website with them for more than a couple of years, I haven't faced a hard time from them till date. The hosting plans are very cheap and affordable here.

I too have been with hostgator over 4years now as expensive as it is compared to some other companies, I do recall some wise advise from experienced marketers at the time and true to their words it saves a whole lot of hassle, as they are very a capable and progressive hosting provider.

Don't go for the cheapest, go for the best such as Hostgator.

You have to make sure that the hosting service is extremely reliable. Otherwise you are going to have lots of problems further down the road.

To succeed in IM, a good, reliable web hosting is indispensable.

Web hosting is not an expense, it's an investment.

    Hi SolidDigital,

I'm not sure going for the cheapest web hosting is the smartest move IF you take your business seriously.

Think about it, running a multitude of properly running servers (computers) costs money. It costs money to buy them, keep them running, repair them, keep them updated with the latest patches so that hackers can't compromise the host's network and your sites. It takes time and money and that's money they need to make in order to provide you with proper service and make sure your sites, and their servers, are up for you to make money. Right?

So I would go with a host who charges a fair amount and has good user feedback. Hostgator is one of them. I used to use HG, but no longer do because I like to host my sites on servers that have the LiteSpeed technology on them. My sites load much faster than Apache based servers and it has helps me with rankings. And I also feel HG has oversold their services.

I wouldn't suggest changing your hosting company to a cheaper one.I understand that at the time 9$/month could be a large amount for you but think about it.

What will you REALLY win? 5$/month? 5$ it's a cup of coffee.Drink one less.

Where i come from, people use to say "Whatever you pay for, this is what you get". Meaning that if you a to a cheap hosting company, you may have bigger problems than the cost of 5$ per month.
