Seek Advice: Launch Website With a Bang!

Howdy Warriors!

I am about to launch an Gaming eCommerce portal and would like to really start if off with a big bang. So besides the usual suspects of SEO, Adwords, Facebook ads, running contests on Facebook page and press release, what other channels or options do you guys think is worth investing in that will target the most relevant audience (gamers and teens)?

I'm thinking of ads network as well but can't find one that is gaming related so if you guys know any good ones... please do share.

    This might not be the direction your looking for, but a lot of serious companies in the hardcore gaming niche sponsor pro gamers that livestream their games, or sponsor tournaments.

    Stumbleupon.com can also get you tons of visitors to your site from your niche, but it all depends if your side is catchy enough, to stop stumbleres on your site...

    Thanks all for the suggestions and pearls of wisdom. I'm primarily looking at online channels only as the traditional media is already being handled by an agency. Online marketing budget wise is lets say high 5 figures for the first 3 months.

    Been contacting some ad network that specializes in games vertical such as CPMStar and AdvertiseGame just to name a few but kinda put off by the massive amount of flash game sites they have in their inventory which is not what I want.

    Gonna try contacting sites that offers guild hosting services... this should be perfect but lets see how it goes.

        Thanks PushMania but sadly I am targeting hardcore gamers such as MMO rather than casual flash or mobile gamers. Nice site you have there tho... congrats!
