Is The Directory Of Ezines Worth It?

Hi, I bought a lifetime subscription to the directory of ezines for $197.00, mainly because a few big name marketers said it was a great way to get traffic to a site. However after looking through the site, I find it a bit disappointing.

I have two sites built and ready for traffic, and they are on rather popular niches, and there are no ezines in the directory of ezines related to them. I intended to send the traffic I got from them, to squeeze pages.

Would like to hear other opinions. Maybe I am missing something.

    I'm not sure what your method of gathering traffic is; but if it is article syndication then this is one of the top resources around. These top marketers you heard from recommended it because the return on your investment (by having a list of people to offer content to who will in turn send you targeted traffic/buyers) is extremely high.

    If syndication is not what your intent was, then what exactly did you think you were getting?

    I personally can't comment because I haven't bought it, however I do know and listen closely to a number of people on this forum who recommend it. They do so without using an affiliate link because of how much it has helped them (and because affiliate links are not allowed here, anyway).

    It may be that you need to think of niches that are related to yours but not directly covered by one of the ezines listed.

    I think Alexa Smith has said that she checks DOE before going into a new niche to make sure there are lists she can offer content to.
