Key Principle for Newbies...

The Ledge

I want to introduce you to a concept that could completely
transform your life and your level of personal success, it's
something I call the ledge.

For many people this concept of the ledge is the difference
between success and failure, yet it is an idea that is so simple
most people fail to notice it.

Let me give you an example to demonstrate how this works.

Tom, has just lost his job and so decides that he is going to
start his own internet business.

Tom on the surface does all the right things, he buys a course
on how to become an internet millionaire, starts applying all
the strategies he's learned. But over time Tom stops taking the
necessary actions he needs take to get his business to the next
level as he's constantly being distracted.

What's distracting Tom are the constant phone calls from debt
collectors and his landlord chasing him for the rent he's late
in paying.

Tom isn't on the ledge he's barely hanging to what he has and is
in a state of constant fear, which makes it almost impossible
for to keep his focus on what's important.

The ledge represents stability, the breathing space necessary to
make new choices and take the necessary action that brings
results.

If you're constantly in survival mode that new book, seminar or
workshop isn't going to do you any good.

If you're experiencing total chaos and upheaval in your life
your number one priority needs to be to get on the ledge...as
quickly as possible so that you can take stock, get clear and
focus.

Do it now!

    Great post.

But I still think you are over complicating things.

No matter what poisiton you're in, if you take lots of action - lots of the right action - you are going to see the results you want.

You may see results but often not the results you really want.

The post is really about focus and giving your business the time
and scope it needs to grow.

Too many people lose their job and jump into IM without a clue
about how they will support themselves or even a plan and then
become fodder for the lastest push button software that will
make them rich in no time.

Running an online business is like farming first you have to
plant the seeds, water it and give it time to grow, however if
you're suffering from starvation and haven't eaten in weeks you
may feast before the harvest is ready.

      just my 2 cents.

Do bad products/courses ever get exposed on here? It would save people money

    Here is my take.

If the course is right for you, buy it. If not, then don't buy it!

    Smiple!

Some courses can be quite long and by the time you invested time and money into a course you could be left with a bad taste in your mouth.

When you come home from a long days work, the last thing you want is a course/program to give you more stress.

Is there any form of buyer protection in this community?

I can see how the ledge analogy might work when you picture a mountain or cliff face.

With a tall building...not so much.

  • Taking action, always and also if time goes away without results in first days.
Keeping focused on only one thing at a time.
These is what I did to reach a slice of success.

    Thanks and see you soon,
