Small tip to save money on dimesale WSOs

Experienced people probably have thought of this, but in case you haven't or for the newbs among us, a large number of WSOs are offered on dimesales. This means that the price goes up either with every sale or every few sales. Especially when the price starts very low, the purchasing can happen fast and furious at first and from the time you begin reading what the sales copy says until the time you actually get to the bottom and click the buy button, you could literally end up spending several dollars more because of the buying frenzy at the beginning. I had it happen to me once or twice where I literally spent an extra $2-$3 for a WSO just because I was reading the sales copy.

I have since learned a small trick which can help. These days, whenever I see a new WSO which is on a dime sale, I don't stop to read the copy. I immediately click the buy button and then leave it alone. I don't enter my PayPal password. I then can go back and read the sales copy at my leisure. If it turns out to be something I don't want, I just close the thing and move on. If it's something I want though, I've now locked in the price that it was when I hit the buy button and I have several hours to put in my order.

Like I said, not a big tip, but it can help a little.

Eric

The price is determined when you load the sales page.

Don't reload the sales page. If you are reading comments, read them in a new browser window.

The pay button shows the price, and that price will hold until and even after you click the Buy button.

Otherwise, people will be pissed to see the product listed at $8 and PayPal has given them a different price. People cannot do business that way.

I open the sales page when I first see the product, and sometimes hold that page open for days, until I can get the time to read the copy.

When I am ready to buy, I go back and hit the Buy button and buy the product for the price that it was when I loaded the sales page.

I know others do it too, because when I am looking at new sales coming in on my products, I will sometimes see a payment process that is at a price point that the product was at hours or days before.

Bill, depending on the sales system used this is not always the case. Some systems change the price depending on how many sales have already been processed so if you load a page then hold it for a few hours or a day you can end up with issues.

The sale would go through PayPal normally but the sales system would flag the sale as fraud because the sales price is already higher than what you paid.

You have to be very careful with this and know how the individual sales system being used works.

Same here. I've never done it myself...mainly because I can't even remember the last time I bought a WSO...probably years ago....but I do see random sales come in at times that are not even close to the current price. I can only assume, that they must be doing the "trick" you are referring to.

      LOL!

I do the same thing. After a week or so, I look at my Firefox and I have 20 tabs open for different WSO's and products I am contemplating or waiting to buy.

As far as I know, the PayPal timeout happens once you enter your password. However, if you click the button to make the purchase but don't enter your password, there is no timeout. This is what I was talking about and this is I believe what Bill was talking about as well. Once you enter your password, you have another chance to cancel, but at that point, you are subject to a timeout. Before you enter the password, the price remains locked and that was the tip I was suggesting to use...

Like I said, it's not a very big deal and frankly I have never tried it for day, but I have held it that way for a few hours without any problems at all.

P.S. to MarketerMastermind, define the term "legit." I'm sure many WSO owners would very much prefer that you don't do it, however it's definitely not illegal or anything. This is the price they offer it for and they have to stand by the system they use, which is Warriorplus or JVZoo about 98% of the time and they both seem to work this way.

Couldn't agree more. WSO sellers (including myself) have a bottom line and although it's not the best situation (it's a little cheeky ) it's still at a price that you were happy to start the WSO dimesale at.

yea, I have done it for many wso's and it does not work because you DO TIME OUT even if you are not logged in to paypal. It is still a paypal time out page after about 15 minutes or so it will time you out so it will work if you only take less than 15 minutes to read the sales page.

Useful information this, not a lot of money but some savings nonetheless...can add up if you're into buying WSOs for a living :-)
