A few questions about WSO Pro and JVZoo

Hi folks,

I have a few questions about the two systems primarily in use for WSOs. I also have a WSO question, but I have a feeling the answer will be "it depends" in which case I don't really have much in the way of choices on that.

Anyway, my questions are as follows:

1. Do I have to be running a WSO to use these services or can I just use them on my squeeze page?
2. Do either of these services support the use of coupons?
3. If I do use one of these services, can I then also use my own payment processing direct from my website (i.e. offer a squeeze page for affiliates to use which has the WSO pro or JVZoo featured and a page on my own website which just has direct links to PayPal or my own shopping cart service)?

Also, I have a question about WSOs, though I'm going to guess the answer is, it depends on the author: I know that there is a rule that you can't offer a WSO of a product you bought PLR rights to through another WSO (i.e. if I bought PLR rights to a product and then turn around and sell it for less than the original author was selling it for).

However, what about a WSO that incorporates previous WSOs? What I mean is, I'm going to be offering a website development service and I bought developer rights to a number of plugins and premium themes through WSOs -- am I allowed to offer a WSO which incorporates those? As I said, my guess is that the answer is "it depends on the author" in which case it may as well be a no. I know I've got a lot of stuff like this and if I have to ask every author, even if I could track them all down and get answers, the odds are good at least one would say no.

Anyway, anyone who has answers on the first three questions (or a definitive answer on the question above) or can suggest a different, respected affiliate processing service which accepts services (Clickbank says things have to be delivered within 24 hours and I'm not sure I can do that since the sites will take time to customize for each individual customer and if I get busy, it could be a few weeks before I get to someone's site) I'd appreciate it.

Eric

WSO Pro is for WSOs. I imagine JVZoo is also but not certain if you can use that on a squeeze page.

    I don't believe so.

    Don't know

If you have purchased legitimate developer's licenses you can incorporate those themes and plugins in sites that you sell to customers. You can't just offer those themes and plugins as your own WSO with a developer license. Most developer licenses expect that the plugin or theme is installed in your client's sites.

FYI... you can use JVZoo for non-WSOs, and use the JVZoo platform outside the Warrior Forum.

I think you may have misunderstood my question. I have developer licenses (and yes, all legit -- in most cases, I paid extra for it) on a number of plugins and premium themes which I bought as WSOs. I do not plan to sell them individually or as a package of just themes and plugins. Rather, I'll be selling my website creation services (i.e. were I to run a WSO, it would include a special warrior forum only price for creating a custom website). Within that package, I would offer to install on the new sites I create, some premium plugins and themes. The question was whether or not this would violate the rules since I am using stuff I got through a WSO to create my WSO, but I'm not offering them directly. Hope that makes it a bit clearer.

No. I didn't misunderstand the question and answered it. I deal with a lot of developer licenses that I have purchased and they all say pretty much the same thing. Install them in your client's sites. It makes no difference whether or not you bought them as a WSO. The developer license gives you the right to advertise that you will install them in your client's sites in your WSO.

You just can't put them up for sale directly in your WSO as part of your WSO.

In that case, I'm confused. By this do you mean that I can install them but can't advertise on a WSO that these are included or by this do you mean I can install them and mention that I'll be doing so when I offer a WSO of my site creation services but I merely don't have the right to sell them all on their own without being packaged with a website I create? (I hadn't planned on doing that last anyway -- I just want to offer an insane number of bonuses so that people will think that they'd be crazy not to buy a site from me).

          Thanks for your help.

You can both install them and advertise that your websites will come with them. I do exactly that with my sales. But yes, they must be packaged with the websites you create, and that is because that is the terms of most developer licenses. To do otherwise would both violate those terms and it would also be just reselling someone's plugins and themes.

Cool. Thanks. In that case, I may well offer a WSO as another way to drive sales.

                Hi

My understanding and also if I read the WSO rules .. It has to be a product that you created . From what you are saying , its not your own product creation.

You can sell in the warriors for hire section and classifieds , but not as a WSO.

To be sure , just check with the helpdesk by sending than an email . That way you get an answer from the horses mouth .

                Thanks

Good idea. I did just that. Thanks.

This is not true. He is offering a service ... web development service. The product IS a product he created and he can add any plugins or themes to those websites he builds and advertise the fact that he wants to.

His product is not the theme or the plugin. It is the website he builds. If there's any doubt about it at all, all he needs to do is say
As a Bonus, I'll add this theme and these plugins to all sites that I build.

                  Perfectly WSO legal.

WSO pro is only for WSOs.

JVZoo is for any sales page you want for any website or a WSO, etc..

For specific functions, best to go to those sites and submit a ticket directly.

As for WSOs and selling plugins, developer rights do not mean resell rights. So no, you couldn't sell any of those (would have to be bonuses, not the main part of your WSO) unless you had giveaway, resell or PLR rights.

Thank you for your answer regarding JVZoo. I actually did put in a support ticket with my question at JVZoo.

Regarding my question about WSOs, as I said above, I think I may have been unclear (and I'm still not sure I was clear in what I said above either so I'm going to try again).

I understand the difference between resale rights and developer rights. Resale rights means I can sell the product all on its own. Developer rights means I can install it into a client's website.

My question was this: If I were to offer a WSO for my website creation services, can I also mention that amongst the many bonuses I offer (and I have a very long list planned), I install a number of premium plugins and themes (which I bought rights to) on their sites? I know if I make this offer from my own website, it's legal because that's what developer rights means -- that I can offer to install these things onto a client's website.

However, if I offer a WSO of my site development service which happens to include as a bonus, installation of these premium themes and premium plugins (which I purchased through WSOs), does this violate the rules of the forum or not?

I had assumed it would be a grey area where each individual seller would have to give me permission or not, but given the responses so far, I'm not sure.

Got the official word back from the support folks. As long as I'm offering something significant as the main service and the other stuff is a bonus, it's fine. The example I was given is, you can't offer a custom paper clip and have a Ferrari as a bonus. Although I imagine that were I to offer a custom paper clip made of solid 24k gold and done up as a nine foot statue of a paper clip, then the Ferrari probably would be okay as a "bonus."
