Clickbank Ebook VS Own Ebook

For a newbie like myself, would it be best to have an ebook created or should I simply aim to sell ebooks already made and on clickbank?

It is generally going to be more economical to start with selling ebooks already on clickbank, and you can learn almost as much from the experience of marketing other people's work for a commission, without adopting some of the support issues that may come from your own product.

I would recommend against having a new product created for most newcomers. There will be plenty of opportunity for that kind of expansion after you have learned and experienced marketing.

I agree with Scott, start by marketing other people's product first. Learn the marketing first. When it comes time for you to create and promote your own product the experience you gain marketing other peoples product will help you alot.

Goal should certainly be to have your own product (whether written by you or outsourced doesn't really matter).

Absolutely you can get things rolling by picking top selling product in the niche you are considering - refine traffic generation and conversions, begin list building and then move to your own ebook or other info product.

i think it depends on how quickly it will take you to get your own ebook together. frankly, you'll make more money on your own product instead of someone else's. but the posts above make a compelling argument against spending the time and effort building your own product until after you have some practical experience and an understanding of what you are doing. good luck!

I think you should definitely learn how to take pre-existing products to market before you try to market your own. Its the best way to get your feet wet on the internet.

Dragone - I myself am quite a Newbie as well and I would highly recommend you learn the ins and outs of marketing first... and it is a lot easier to promote some else's product... this will help you make mistakes that you can learn from.

By the time it comes to your own product - you would have all the knowledge you need to succeed.

I am planning on creating a product later on once I have got the hang of marketing other people's product first!

    Good luck with it all...

If you know how this thing works and you have the necessary skills and knowledge and if you know how to attract affiliates it is always good to be a publisher.

On the other hand if you don't want to deal with product creation and customer support, then being an affiliate is the best way.
