UFC MAIN EVENT: Banner Ads VS Adwords? Who'll win? You Decide!

Hey Guys,

Ok, so there's this millionaire marketer who's been killing it with CPA and Banner Ads. He says that banner ads have been working much better for him than Adwords.

So my question to you is:

If there was a UFC No holds barred fight and the contestants were:

Banner Ads Vs PPC Adwords, who'd be the winner?

Ideally I'd like to hear from people who have tried both methods.

Please vote using the poll above this post AND leave your comments below.

Thanks.

yeah, me too. Banner ads are interesting but have never compared return per click when compared with Adwords. i really struggle with adwords in any event - far too many rules and regulations and poor customer service.

There are so many variables, the niche, the market, the prospects. But, if I had to choose.... Probably banner ads.

At least in my experience they are much more responsive.

The one thing you don't have with banner advertising all on it's own is the lack of ability to do remarketing.

Remarketing in a great deal of markets are vital for a decent conversion rate.

Additionally, you can't test and scale banner advertising on it's own very easily, so unless you know exactly what works, adwords wins.

Ultimatly, if an advertiser allows you to swap out your banner ads via an ad management system for a/b testing, then it would be a good middle ground, however I haven't seen this often.
