Domain name. It's worth in project and how to choose one

INTERNET MARKETING

Anyone knows great tips on how to choose a great domain name for your project and is domain 50 percent of your projects worth?

For example I have bought a fitlifeskills.com since fitlife.com is taken and I'm going to make it a blog and a community and then sell an ebook and maybe consulting on how to bodybuild. You think this domain has a some potential?

P.S. Wrong section.. main forums would be better suited I guess... Sorry..

Why not? Always believe in your projects if you start something.
If you do good SEO & promoting, it will works!

Yes, you right domain are 50% part of any website but just dont build any website on any domains. Most people buy domains with temptation to develop it into website empire but later just let it go. Always have solid idea in your mind and then go for domain.

  I believe in my project I am just not sure about domain name Domain is not my project I'll make my content the best in the world! It's just that domain doesn't really talk about bodybuilding...

That doesn't matter, the domain name fitlifeskills is good.
It's all about the content on the website, how you promote it etc.

Choosing right and easy domain makes it easier for your visitors to remember it .Also look for .com than net,info etc. as it increases domain credibilty.

Domain is important for SEO purposes. If you are only keen on branding or making your domain catchy and easy to remember, then go for it!
