Don't promote the product directly, that will not work. You have to write about a topic and then use the resource box to promote it.

My bet is that they actually said something more like:

"We do not accept articles that are written news announcements promoting a specific product, event, or person."

How would I know? I just got one of those myself. When I read it again, it was a pretty blatant sales pitch more than an article. (Hey ... I was excited about a new local site I'm launching and it carried over!)

So I made the article a little more "generic" and still listed the benefits and the why's and so on. My link is in my author bio line and the revision was accepted without any trouble.

Google picked it up about 30 minutes later.

        Gotta love that!

It seems EzineArticles have become pretty hot over this kind of thing in recent months, they seem to be a lot more selective now and do a better job of reviewing submissions.

I think this is a good thing, there are so many junk articles around on the internet, it's nice to know that one of the major sites is taking quality and standards seriously.

          Yes that was exactly it..

So just go in and make it more generic then.. ill give it a shot

By the way what Article directories do you submit too and do you ever submit the same article to 2 directories or 1 unique article per directory

EA used to let them slide. Not anymore. I changed a bio in one of my old articles and it got rejected. Got to love it.lol

Now I know better to leave articles alone if at all possible.

Now I have to re-write it from another point of view.

It did not sound like a sales letter until I noticed there were some dollar figures in it. As mentioned think review and watch out for phrases like you can make a lot of money using this product etc.

            Cheers,

I got a rejection like that for an article which did not even mention the product.
