I know there are tools like WP Twin, but i'm running on fumes regarding money, and need to be thrifty until I bring in some money. So is there a way to clone my website for free?

theres a wordpress plugin that will do it but I heard it will not duplicate the plugins that create forms on the blogs so its not 100% accurate look it up in the search engines I can't remember what its called but just google "Plugin that duplicates wp blogs" or something like that you'll find it. sorry for the typo forms, not forums

Hey buddy i have used duplicator plugin and works well.

If you'd like to pretty much clone your site, you can open your browser > tools > view source.
Then copy and past the HTML into a site WP or another site building tool. Which is fully legal.

That would be extremely time consuming and totally mess up the new site as you would be copy/pasting the complete HTML for a post/page which is generated by the WP theme and plugins.

Additionally, you'd also have to install and configure your theme and all your plugins.

Phew!

I'll also give Duplicator a thumbs up. I've used it to migrate quite a few sites.

Not only would this not work but I have never ever heard of someone recommending this type of solution before. It would have to be the craziest idea I've ever heard.

Maybe you thought the OP was just talking about copying one page over? Even then it is a terrible idea.

Your best bet is to just get someone else who already has the proper tools to do it for you.

A quick search on fiverr found several people who could help you:

Agreed with WiilR. I know you said you are low on funds but Fiverr has a few great gigs including website cloning. If you only have one site to clone then I say it's worth it. Think about the time you have spent already looking for how to do this when it could be completed in five minutes.

Wp Twin is great because it transfers EVERYTHING... all your plugins, users, images, etc...

Duplicator is good for sure, and free. Never tried WP Clone but if you're looking for something free and useful then I would say to go with duplicator
