Is there a demand for a centralized Wordpress management service?

I have a really rough and dirty scripted method of creating and updating my Wordpress instances, but I wonder if there are better options already out in the wild. To your knowledge, are there any services that create, manage, and update Wordpress installations? Or do these existing services leave something to be desired?

I think some services leave something to be desired. But most who use wordpress already have a pretty good understanding of domains, how to create posts, etc. So it may be a very tough market to break into.

My gut feel is that the market might be pretty small since Wordpress is not too difficult to learn.

Then again, there are always a group who's too lazy to learn and has the money to pay others to do it for them.

Do some keyword research, like Wordpress help or Wordpress service. You never know what you'd discover.

Thanks for your insight. I did notice a couple of services that attempt to do what (I think) Warriors that run sites like mine do, but miss the mark on some of the automation I'm trying to pull. The two I've found so far are:
WP Unite - Wordpress Aggregator - Home
        www.managewp.com

        Any experiences with those?

That's true. Once you have so many blogs up and running (I'm talking 30 or more) at a time, managing all those installs, comments, updates, users(if you have writers), and hosting could become overwhelming.

What if I want to install a tracking script on all of my blogs? Right now you'd have to go to one blog at a time, install/update whatever tracking code is on that site and go to the next blog. In most cases it's manageable, but I like to optimize where I can.

Tough competition with ManageWP. They do a great job. Good luck with whatever you do.
