How many domains could be hosted on a single hosting plan?

Hi, I want to ask about the hosting capability to host domains. Is there any exact way to calculate how many domains that a single hosting could handle? Of course there are a lot of variables. Like is the domain micro niche site or authority sites, is the hosting plan the baby or giant plan, is the site got huge traffic or less traffic.

How you calculate these things? One could host a single domain on a single small plan hosting. But of course it could cost so much. One could also host many domains on a single hosting so the cost would cheaper, but maybe it affecting the loading time become slower.

So, Is there any exact way to calculate how many domains that a single hosting could handle?

Yep. Go to HostGator, pay $8 for the first month, and get unlimited hosting for unlimited domains. After that, you can monitor your monthly bandwidth. On the off-chance that you get amazingly high traffic and sales, you can work with the HG team to move that site to a higher-capacity server to handle the traffic flow.

Until you get that kind of traffic, though, there's no point in worrying about it.

I think you can host as many domains as you want. At least I can do that and I am using site5.

I think you already answered your question. That would depend on the specs of your server and what kind of websites you will put inside. If they all the same in size or approximate site then it's easy to guess.

With a host like Hostgator that advertises unlimited domains, the answer is a lot, but that really does depend on the sites you are hosting. If your sites have a huge amount of traffic or have scripts or plugins that consume a large amount of resources, they will suspend those sites.

Read the TOS at the hosting company. While they advertise all kinds of "unlimited" plans. Reason and physical limitations says that there is really no such thing as unlimited hosting. The TOS will often lay out what the limitations of resource usage really are.

That said, you can indeed put a LOT of sites up on most "unlimited" plans, before running into resources limitations.
