Publishing of the articles in website & submission thereof at the same time to directories

When one starts building up website (not a blog), he / she starts writing articles / contents for his / her site. Let us say one adds one's first article / content (say in the form of a page) to his / her site. What the seasoned warriors advise. Should the article be submitted to some article directory at the same time? Can one starts doing syndication of one's articles at the same time, i.e. the contents (in the form of pages) be also submitted to articles' directories at the same time, as soon as they are published in website.

    Just wait until it's been indexed by Google on your site first.

    Make sure that you, not any article directory, are the beneficiary of the gradual accumulation of all those initial indexations. In the long run, it pays off very well.
