authority site domain name

I am looking to create an authority site through time and effort over several years.

Because I want to rank for several different keywords in the same niche, I am hesitant to pick just one for my domain name.

Should I choose a general non-specific domain name, such as, (example)
"depression-anxiety.com"
then make individual pages on the site geared towards more specific keywords like "depression in older adults".

Based on other warriors experience, will this method be successful for traffic?

If you really want to "create an authority site through time
    and effort over several years
" you don't need to pick a domain
name that is specific to one particular keyword. A genetic non-specific
domain name is the way to go.

I would suggest taking the dashes or any hyphens off your domain. pick a different name maybe findanxietycures.com
Definitely find a good group of keywords and target them on individual pages with quality content. Make sure the keywords are in your articles. Backlink each page separately for separate keywords. Dont just push the backlinking towards the main url. It will be easier to rank separate pages.
