Where to submit press releases?

Sup dudes.

Recently I've been looking to assemble an array of Press Release accounts.

I'm curious, if anyone would be bold enough to offer what sites you use? (The more, the merrier. I'm looking for about 10 total.)

I've been researching a few, and some of them seem paid.

Are there major benefits to a paid press release?

Are free ones just as good? Are paid ones more common?

As always, I appreciate the accumulative wisdom of my fellow warriors.

Any advice is thanked.

I sugges PRWEB it's a good site and also a good source of traffic. Our team submit a bunch of press releases in there and so far we are receiving good response base on our analytics.

I use PRLog for all of my own stuff. I've had great results with it - and it's free!

I've had plenty of clients that use PRWeb, and they've had success. If you're willing to spend $80 or so to submit it there, you should get good results (assuming, of course, that your press release is done properly).

It's really not a matter of free vs. paid. There are plenty of paid services that aren't worth the price, and there are plenty of free services that are a waste of time. Before you sign up anywhere, take a look at their distribution list. If you don't see the "big guns" on there, the pr site isn't worth it - paid or free.

If I were you, I'd go to one of the "big" pr sites (like PRWeb) and check out their distribution list. That way, you'll have something to compare other sites to. You'll find that alot of sites brag about the "thousands of outlets" they distribute to, but they're all things like "Bob's News" or "Little Suzy's Newspaper" - meaning that they're random, unknown news outlets that won't help you a lick or get you any exposure.

PR web is by far the best site for this. I use it very frequently and find that it offers the best results

Again, in press releases, I go for syndication rather than doing all the work myself therefore, I've found that a little known service on what used to be fastpitchnetworking.co , which is now proskore.com, is the best place.

I get syndicated on thousands of other sites and get tens of thousands of views and all I do it post it once for free. I've never even paid for any upgrade for press releases on there.

This way, I get all that exposure and only have to post it once.

Of course, like the quality of the article matters in getting syndicated, so does the quality of the press release.

Make sure to make it actually about news and that it is news worthy to get syndicated on the top sites.

Also, don't post PR's often as then it is definitely looked at as advertising and not news.

Read a lot of other press releases that are getting published on high volume sites to see how it is done.

Make sure you have a very "press release" type bio which also does not sound like a sales page and include all the information including contact name, name of business, complete address, phone number, website and email address.

There are many other benefits to being on proskore.com too so check into it, however, since you can do so much for free and get great benefits from it, I wouldn't upgrade anything until and unless you build a network and it would benefit you to do so.

    Good luck.

Good and I might add, it will really help you in and out of the network there to complete your profile before you post the PR because everyone gets a notice of anything new posted in the live FEED and surely, anyone interested will check out your profile.

Like I said, there are multiple reasons and a lot of hidden value with having a fully completed profile and all your other social networks connected to it, too.

They will even send you leads based on what you say you do and what you need. And this is ALL for free.

However, they do give you many opportunities to upgrade throughout the site for individual things like press releases or your entire profile. I have gotten leads and great google ranking and much more with a free account so unless you really think you need it, just use the free account to the fullest first.

        Good luck.

FWIW, I've found that paid releases have more impact; results are better.

(I use prweb.com and prlog.org currently; paid PR on both.)

By "more impact", I mean more views, and more conversions.

Paid vs free views run at about 3:1.

That said, free press release sites still provide links. If you're on a tight budget, a free press release is fine. It's better than no press releases at all.

A tip: do make sure that you keep your press releases factual, and use the third person.

On many of the free press releases sites press releases are written as blatant advertisements, which press releases should never be. FACTS. Stick to the facts, in your press releases. :-)

    Cheers
