Websites with shady history
Here's a quick heads up that might be useful if you're buying domains (especially if you need them to rank quickly)...
I bought 4 EMD's a fortnight ago. 3 are getting search traffic. One seems to be sandboxed.
I've just used the wayback machine, and sure enough, the sandboxed site has a history :confused:.
It turns out the site was a being cyber-squatted one year, it was a jewellery site the next (despite not being related to this niche at all!), then was being cyper-squatted for another year before I guess they let the domain expire when they found out nobody would pay $1000 for it.
So always background check your domains.
Hopefully this setback is only temporary, but it's bad luck that I've poured most effort into the sandboxed domain.
