Hello everyone,

Something that never really clicked for me before but makes sense now is, the industry I am in controls everything there is with marketing.

If you didn't have web hosting, how would you really continue doing a majority of the marketing that you currently do?

So what I am getting at, is how important do you believe hosting is when it comes to marketing?

Well it's kind of the backbone to your business and websites. You need your sites to be online and you need them to load fast. Obviously this is all assuming that the majority of your revenue is made through websites.

Well, I wouldn't be in business without web hosting, simple as that.

I mean sure, if you had to find a way to succeed without it, I'm sure you could with alternative tactics, but if you are in business with serious intentions, it's pretty necessary to have (and how people say that they can't afford it is beyond me)

Question is a bit silly, but the answer is very obvious.

You can market by using free blogging platforms, web 2.0, micro blogging, facebook fan pages etc.

All in all, you will need a reliable host if you plan on making any serious money. Sure, you can get away with free blogging sites, but how many of those do you see making millions of dollars?

You gotta be original and if you want to get millions of visitors then your host has to support the load.

I know there is a lot of free hosting providers, but remember this. Most of the times, the provider puts ads on the sites automatically, you are extremely limited on size and growth, and what good is a website if its not up and reliable?

I am a web hosting and IT management company owner and I was curious as to what others thought about this. So you know, any feedback is appreciated so I can work on making my services better.

Another thought, what do you think is the most important feature when it comes to web hosting besides what control panel they use for example Plesk or cPanel. Would it be the reliability, the support, the speed?

Thanks everyone for the great participation.
