"Check out http://thesuperamazingaffiliate.blogspot.com for hot tips from a SEVEN figure super affiliate!"

"Still strugging online? Go to http://getricheasyonline.weebly.com and learn how to create a six figure business in NO time!"

just....stop.

Do you really think that somebody who built a successful IM business will be using free Blogspot or Weebly pages?

That's like driving a crappy, rusty, 30 year old clunker with a window sticker that says "Make Money from Home with X MLM products!"

If you're in the make money online niche, please do yourself a favor- spend a few dollars to get your own domain name, get hosting (free or paid- doesnt matter)- and then try to convince the world that you've made millions online and are giving away your secrets for just $27.

Better yet- get into a different niche for your first go.

I don't think they're targeting successful Internet Marketers. They are going for complete newbies who are just starting out and will jump on any shiny object.
It's a terrible way to do business for whomever is doing this. Sad thing is many newbies fall for this trick and lose a lot of money, get discouraged and quit..

TBH regardless of the domains, super cheesy, super unbelievable headlines like those just scream SCAM to anyone with even half a brain.

Yeah I'd be a bit skeptical myself. Anyone successful will definitely have their own stuff set up already and not using free resources.

I myself also prefer hosting my own sites, but just because someone uses blogspot or weebly doesn't mean they're not successful. Just my opinion

It may be true for other niches. I know many people who make good money with their blogspot blogs in cooking/foodie niche.

For internet marketing niche, I don't think so. IMers sense things in different ways.

Anyways, those ads have "scam" written all over them. I wouldn't touch them.

Yes but in my opinion 99% of the products being sold related to IM has scam written all over them, yet they are selling by the truck load. This includes many many wso's.

Who do you think buy's this crap? You guessed it, so called IMer's lol

Ha, ha, lol - yep that's so true. You see video sales pages claiming fantastic results, with having made thousands of bucks, and the video is done with power point.

People will never stop doing that. As NoviIM said above, these are the marketers that are targeting newbies and other individuals who are not yet experienced in Internet marketing. And as long as newbies fall for it, they'll continue to do it.

But I do agree - if you're going to offer a product, at least put up a proper website with your own domain name and website.

tbh, I haven't seen anyone claiming to make 6-7 figures, using a free website to offer their stuff. Never!

They're out there- and why wouldn't they be? It's tempting to go out and try to teach/make money off of what you're learning, right?

That's why they target newbies, as other posts have said.

But it's still silly- its not even fully going the "fake it til' you make it" route. It's more like the "half-ass faking it until you make it".

I watched a video the other day on a free website like this and he stated that he had made millions in this field and that I could too if I just bought his product. I immediately glanced up at the web address and just shook my head. I wasn't born yesterday and I'm much too smart to fall for things like this.

But Justin, you posted this on a free forum. Why didn't YOU put this post on your own domain and send traffic to read it?

Not having a go at you - just saying. I understand your point completely and agree to an extent. But different people use different tools differently. I know some very successful, 6-7 figure types that use Blogspot for their blog. They also have their own domain but the blog is on a free provider.

Agreed! It's right up there with the "make $5,000,000 a day by pressing this button" technique. Too many people promising the world and taking advantage of newbies.

This begs the question: are the IMs or the newbies at fault? It goes back to the "don't hate the player, hate the game" saying. If thousands weren't falling for these ludicrous product promises then it would have stopped a long time ago.

Honest IMs will prevail because more and more people are expressing their dislike with these types of strategies!

If I am not mistaken .. the number one ranked MMO site for years was a blogger site(or one of the free ones) . If you are depending on SEO .. you use the medium that is ranking best.

i agree, i think there aimed at newbies who im afraid to say might be slightly gullible and just need some guidance and their drawn into it and end up not learning anything and on occasion spend a small fortune buying into it!

i myself am new to this and ive seen things like that and thought 'o this looks good', but ive never gone with it.

I seek advice here on WF and ignore all the flashing popups of 'quick make money' ways etc and concentrate on what people advise me here.
