Create your own sales page for clickbank products

hi all,

I'm looking to promote a couple of ebooks from clickbank on my website, but have never liked the standard sales page's.
I put all my effort in to creating a nice looking site, promote the product, but then when they click my hop link they are directed away to the sales page for the product which is the bit i don't like.

I would like to create my own sales page that fits within my site and when they click my clickbank hop link they go straight to the purchase page for the product - bypassing the standard sales page.

is this possible??

you could make your own product instead, that way you have full control over what looks like what and you could also stand to make more money.

Since the buy button is on the vendor's sales page and since clicking the buy button is the only way the sale can go through, I'd say you have to point your traffic to the vendor's sales page.

I think you can iframe the hoplink in a 1x1 pixel to drop the cookie and then send them direct to the payment page by using the http://1.clickbankusername.pay.clickbank.net (I think thats the correct link from memory)

Direct linking to the Clickbank order page is actually a very common marketing method for some Clickbank affiliates and is discussed in this and several other threads:

However, due to recent TOS changes by Clickbank, you now must obtain explicit permission from each vendor to bypass the sales page. Also, this method bypasses the cookie-setting algorithm of the sales page.

I have seen a few sites posted on here recently for review that when you click on their site the link it takes you straight to the ebooks shopping cart...ready for checkout...

so yes this can be done, although ive never done it

Yes, it's possible, but be aware of two things ...

    (i) ClickBank requires you to have the vendor's express permission to replace his sales page and link to the order page (I think they normally grant it);

(ii) You won't be setting your affiliate cookie on your prospective customers' computers, if you do this (but you'll still earn the affiliate commission on those who order immediately, at their first visit to the order page).

thanks to all those who have replied.

the iframe method sounds interesting to keep the cookie... does this work and could you expand on that a little please?

Off the top of my head you would add something like this to your page <img src="yourhoplinkhere.com" width="1" height="1" />

That way the hoplink will load and drop the cookie but noone will see it. You can then redirect them straight to the order page and get your commission.

Like someone said above though you need the vendors permission.

Using this method or an iframe to just drop the cookie is not recommended at all. You could have your Clickbank account terminated for using anything resembling cookie-stuffing.

    ok, cheers guys.
so the moral of the story is to make sure you've got a solid sales page so they buy then and there.
