Not sure how to market this type of website

Hey guys,

So I recently built a website that uses custom google search engines to locate Mp3 downloads (it's all legal). Here it is: srchit.com

Anyway, this is the first time i've built this kind of website, and I'm not really sure how I should go about getting the word out there. The website I used to run was more of a music blog and it got exposure by word of mouth (at a rather alarming pace), so I didn't really have to do any of my own advertising.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

You have a lot of empty space on your site. I would consider advertising music affiliate products, like ringtones or concert tickets. Depending on the amount of traffic you have I would consider adf.ly also. Those are just a few ideas that come to mind.

Oh okay, thank you!. Quick question: does advertising products (as you mentioned) help with traffic, or is that just for money?

For traffic, you should put the link to the site in your signature on here (like I have mine)

You would actually be surprised how many clicks you will get just from here.

By the way, I like the site, cool idea.

Interesting. How would I go about doing something like that? Also, does it require funds?

Don't people just google "Artist Song Name Download"
What is unique about your website?
    Once you know that.
    You can market it.

Simply typing the "Artist Song Name Download" does not always turn up results. Sure, it works for many songs on iTunes' top 100 list, but many - more "underground" - tracks can be difficult and time consuming to find. My search engine crawls a huge list of file hosting sites, and if the song is uploaded somewhere, it'll most likely find it. This enables users to download the music instantly. I also have easy access to multiple online music store searches (which enables the user to compare prices on music and easily buy songs without having to go to each site individually). The torrent function acts the same way, minus the price :p

So yeah, that's what I feel is "unique" about my site.

But my question remains: now that I know WHY my site is useful, HOW do I market it?
