    Hi Lisa,

Welcome to the forum. (And hello to Mokey, too.)

The main forum is a great place to start. Spend some time reading threads that interest you, learn about some of the members here, get a feel for the "unwritten rules" of the community, etc.

If you have specific questions, don't hesitate to ask.

    cheers,
    Becky

    Hi Lisa,

    Welcome to the forum.

As Doug said above there's really great information in here. Some of it's hidden away but you can generally find it fairly quickly just by using the "search" button up on the top toolbar. Dig in, enjoy yourself and we'll look forward to getting to know you.

    All the best,

    Nigel

    Lisa,

Welcome... It doesn't seem that long ago I stepped into the waters as well. It can be quite overwhelming... the key is start slow and don't be scared to ask questions, no matter how simple you may think they are.

Without this site, I wouldn't have accomplished what I have so far.

Welcome Lisa and all you other new folks

I know for a fact that there is a tremendous amount of information available to you on this forum. I concur with what Becky mentioned above:
The main forum is a great place to start. Spend some time reading threads that interest you, learn about some of the members here, get a feel for the "unwritten rules" of the community, etc.

If you have specific questions, don't hesitate to ask.
But I would like to take what she said just a step further. When you find something that turns on the "lightbulb" in your noggin, focus on that topic, until you feel you have at least a basic understanding of that topic. Then move to your next topic and repeat. Then your next topic and repeat. And so forth.

Be sure and make a list of those "lightbulb" moments and then prioritize what you would like to learn more about. Then go back and burrow down into the topic until you feel you have a handle on it. If your not sure about something, ask very specific questions and you will get very specific answers from some very qualified Warriors

Once you have a handle on the information, it's time to take action on what you have learned. Taking action is what will take you on the next step of your journey, making money, on the internet and that's why your here. Right?

Welcome to the Warrior Forum. My advice would be this: Don't expect to be able to suddenly start making decent money overnight. Spend some time learning about the different aspects of IM, don't fall for every cleverly-written sales page you see, and never be afraid to ask if there's something you don't understand.

    Best of luck.

    Hay Lisa and Welcome!

Don't feel bad I just joined today and I'm not sure of what's going on myself, but I am looking around and learning something new with every post I read. You mentioned that you are setting up a website and you don't know how to HTML? Well, I recently launched my first web site using a great marketing platform that took me by the hand step by step and helped me launch it in a week. Go to my website where it says Join Me at the top left hand menu and check it out, it's definitely worth checking into. Best of all, you need no HTML experience and you can create as many sites as you wish.

    Hi Lisa,

Like others have said, welcome to the warriroforum. There is a great deal of information to be found just using the search function here.

You don't need to learn HTML just yet in order to build a website. Yes, you will want to gain knowledge of HTML, but you can start learning how to build sites using a free software called KompoZer which is available at KompoZer - Easy web authoring

An earlier version of the software was called Nvu. It looks and works the same as Kompozer. Nvu had a tendency to lock up the computer, and that was fixed in KompoZer.

There is an excellent tutorial for Nvu at thesitewizard.com (not an affiliate) which you can use to learn the software.

Then you will need a software to upload your newly designed webpage to the hosting company you choose. The free FTP client (upload software) is called filezilla. Do a google search for it.

This will get you started in learning how to build a website.

There are also good tutorials on HTML on the net. Take your time and your brain won't melt while learning.

    Hi Kitty Kat II:

Hope the weekend was great! Yes, the forum can look infinite but use that as a springboard to great things. Maybe you would like to study a specific section or thread. Whatever path you take why not make some notes on the good and the bad and the questions that arise. Once you are organized you can find it easier to go to the next level.

May all the success come your way.

      Hi Lisa,

You could try using Wordpress to build your sites, I don't know much HTML and so for me WP is a dream. It's literally plug and play and the search engines love it.

      Very user friendly!

    Aloha Lisa

If you are just starting then take Jenni's advice and learn WordPress - it's a web publishing platform that doesn't require you to know HTML (although learning HTML isn't necessarily a bad idea). Many hosting plans come with a user interface and program (CPanel and Fantastico) that will allow you to setup a new WordPress site in seconds. You can easily customize the "look and feel"" of your site with free Themes and Plugins and can completely change the sites appearance with a click of your mouse. WordPress is also very easy to learn, if you can use a word processor and e-mail then you already have the skill set.

There is so much to learn when you are starting out in Internet Marketing and at this phase you should be concentrating on learning the fundamentals of the business and finding a specific aspect or niche to focus upon. Using WordPress will eliminate the need to learn HTML right away. It's a very easy platform to work with, there is a wealth of information on the Internet about it and hundreds (if not thousands) of WordPress -savvy users right here on this forum who would be hapy to help you out (myself included)

    Welcome to the forum!

    Bill
