I have a domain name that I'm not sure what to do with...

I have a domain name, "tackleoutfitter.com".

There's no site up, I just own the domain.

I run a web hosting company, so I don't have the time really to build a site for this nor do I know what I would even do with it... can I get some ideas?

Thanks,
Brent

You can try selling it on flippa.com, or here in the warrior forum.

Unfortunately Google keyword tool is showing zero traffic for that term, even on broad matching :-(

Yea, I thought about Flippa but I'm not exactly sure I want to sell it. It has never had a site or anything.

If you are interested in having a site for that domain then you can easily hire someone to do the work if you have a bit of money to use as an investment. Or as TheEmperor said there is always Flippa though the domain might not bring much if anything in.

If you can't do anything with it now I say hold on to it until you can.

See that's the thing, I'm not sure what I could do with it. I really haven't sat down and thought about it. I don't think I want to sell it, as "I" feel it's a pretty good domain name.

Maybe some sort of order/dropship kind of site?

Yeah Tadresources has a good point - keeping it may be a good idea if you don't think it will sell for much now, and you have no immediate plans for it.

Based on that idea, two things you can do:

      1. Put a simple text ad saying "This site is for sale, contact ....@....com for more details"

      2. Put an article from EZineArticles that is relevant to the topic on the home page, and also add some Google analytics. In a few months time you may get some traffic and that will help your case when selling on Flippa. This should take between 5 minutes and 1 hour to set up in total.

I recently sold a site making no money (but good traffic) for over $400. As long as you have the Google Analytics to prove it.

Hmmm. Those are some good ideas. See, as an IT pro & web host, I lack these types of ideas on this type of stuff. However, I'd like to turn this into an investment.

This is a good idea. As an avid fisherman myself, I'd love to do something online with this domain with a dropship service or something. I do have friends that are custom rod builders...
