Hi Warriors,

I have a website.
I think that it is quite awesome.
It has a sales page,
7 follow up emails,
a thank you and download page
and an Ebook.

I wanted to see how much I could sell this
website on at FLIPPA...

However, if the price was not high enough...
I would not like to sell it.

Is it possible to test out how much you can
sell the website for...and if it is not high enough
take the website off FLIPPA?

Thanks.

Also, it is in the top 3 on the first page of Google for its Keyword.

List it with a reserve price so that if no one bids the reserve or higher, no one wins it.

      Exactly this.

Also flippa websites generally sell for 10x the amount they're making monthly

Just to give you a general idea

If you want money for it then drive some traffic to it and make sales.

Then you have a business, not a website for sale.

    Good luck

Agreed. Sites on Flippa get sold at much higher prices if the site in question has already generated income.

yes, you can sell web sites without traffic but if you can drive just a little traffic to it to show that it converts you get a much better price.

On Flippa the best sellers are sites that do not require much work and if your site is on top 3 of Google then you could get a good price, I estimate 5x monthly earnings.

Best way to get better price is to start auction from $1, get it in the list of most active ones and adding comments frequently.

Anyway you have nothing to lose because you get a very strong backlink from Flippa that is worth the $19 to start an auction.

What matters most when you flip site are traffic and profits. Usually you will be able to get at least five times the dollar value of your monthly profits and ten times in case of having revenues through Adsense. If you do not have either that is when the guesswork begins and it depends on the buyers' fancy on how much he or she bids.

      That is not true.

You can sell web sites that have no income all day long.

Look at what all those web designers do: they build web sites that have no traffic or income and charge $500, $1,500 or even $10,000 for it.

If you create a valuable web site you can sell it whether it has traffic or profits or not.

which raises the question; What parameters besides traffic and profit create value in a website?

Many of the flippers don't really worry much about creating value. They pump out one cookie site after another knowing that if they hype it enough and add in a bunch of bonuses, that some newbie will fall for it and they do ... over and over again.

  • Hi Google Warrior, your income strictly depends on how much you earned with that website. There are, for example, different incomes for any site you are going to sale on Flippa.

In latest year, prices were slashed by the great competitivity who stays on Flippa.
    Here is a short review:

    1) If it is a PLR product, the value of the website goes down (say a maximum of $70 sale.)
    2) If the site is original but is new, you can rak in more cash, depending on the interest on the niche.
    3) If the site is unique, the product is unique, and you have made a lot of sales, the income generated is typically 10 to 15 times the income you made in 1 month.

So please try to evaluate your site before putting that on sale, and in case you decide to sell, fix your reserve price (minimum price for which website is sold).

See you soon and good luck on Flippa!

The income is just one factor. It is not true that it is the only factor.

There are many people selling sites on Flippa all day long and these sites have ZERO income but still the sites sell like hot cakes.

I looked for example at what one seller is doing in detail and found that he has made $26,000 in the last 2 months alone and all with brand new sites that have no revenue.
