From Amazon to Drop Shipping

Hi guys, I've sort of accidently gotten into drop shipping, by contacting a manufacturer about using graphics and video from their site.

They seemed pretty impressed with my Amazon review site, and asked what sort of services I could offer them... their also selling their product on their site.

I asked about drop shipping, and they said they do, and came back with a wholesale price of $120... it retails on their site for $178 and around $176 on Amazon.

So, I reckon I should price it around $170 on my site?

Would this be ok with the manufacturer... as I'd be undercutting them too.

Also, I review around 7 other related products, should I just keep linking these to Amazon?

Or just make my site about this product?

This was the best seller on my site... and they do other products also.

So... would this be weird to be selling a product and also linking to Amazon?

I would advice you should create separate site for this product, you need promotion then it would start working like your old site which you have....

I've just started talking to them about it. But, I'd like to get some feedback here, as to what's normal practice.

For example, can I charge what ever I like... is this normal... It would be good to get info from experienced warriors, so I don't sound so green when talking to them.

I have worked with a few dropshippers/manufacturers in years past and in all cases I was refused the right to sell for less than they were offering on their site. The best most would offer is for me to be allowed to offer some kind of bonus (if the manufacturer offers some low cost products include this and while it will cut into your profit it gives you a USP)

You never know though it just may be possible that you have run into one of the few manufacturers that would allow you to undercut them so it is worth asking them.
