What do u outsource on your blog??

Nothing.

I try not to need to use anything on any of my blogs which I can't produce/do/use myself. Because otherwise you're not really in control of your business, you're always dependent on other people, you don't learn how to do everything yourself, you worry about the security of your sites and hosting, and so on. (And, unlike me, maybe you learn how to "delegate"

).

I do, seriously, think it's a pretty bad idea (as well as sometimes very difficult) to outsource things you don't know how to do yourself. And I think that "trying to outsource too much, in the early days, just because you can afford to and you'd rather pay than learn" is a relatively common reason for people eventually failing, too ... this isn't really a business for people who don't want to enlarge their skill-sets.

I think, for me, this sums up what outsourcing is and isn't perfectly.

I make use of outsourcing to duplicate myself. That is, once I have a system in place that is delivering the results that I want, I set about multiplying those results by recreating myself in aggregate using outsourcers. This can be a combination of VAs, article writers or designers- who working together can establish profitable websites at a much greater pace than I can alone.

However, as Alexa hinted at- before you can outsource these tasks, you yourself first need to know what is profitable. It's no use ordering thousands of outsourcing hours if all they're doing is repeating mistakes that haven't earned you anything.

Once you know what works, THEN tell your contractors what to do and enjoy the results!

  Your blog is your online hub. It's you.
  
  You can't outsource yourself. It would be like outsourcing parenthood. :-)
  
  And as others have said, you shouldn't outsource anything to do with promotion, until you can do it yourself. Otherwise you'll have no idea what's going on, and anyone can claim any results they like for others. You need to know what results YOU can expect.
  
  What you can outsource: graphics, website setup and maintenance. You don't need to be able to do that...
  
  Anything to do with your blog's content however, do it yourself.
  
  Here's the thing. As I'm always telling my students, blogging will change you. It gives you contacts and opportunities. It will have effects you can't predict. You'll get out of it much, much more than you'll ever put into it. IF you do it.
  
  The time you spend blogging is never wasted. I've been blogging for 12 years, long before it became fashionable. I can't imagine that I'd ever stop blogging, as long as I have an online business.
  
  Again: your blog is YOU. Think about it... :-)

  I try to outsource as much as I can, starting from site content, backlinks, design and so on. I must admit that I am not really good at anything myself and some thing are just too time consuming so I just find people better than me to do these thing for me. Nowadays outsourcing is very easy and affordable and fast and once you have found good people you can get lot done and concentrate on things you enjoy doing and are good at. Without outsourcing I would be years behind and struggling.

When starting a new project I like to do the first one myself from start to finish so I know exactly what to do. I often film myself doing it so I can easily train someone else to do it also and outsource the parts I need to.

The thing I mostly outsource is content to a reliable team of native English speakers as I find this the most time consuming part of building a blog.

Outsourcing saves time and energy and since I build a large number of sites in bulk I need to free up my time to expand my business.

It depends on the type of site. If it's a blog where I'm sharing info and building a relationship with people, then i don't outsource anything, but if it is an affiliate site then I outsource anything I don't like doing.

I try not to outsource anything. I do sometimes get help in, run with it for a while to learn something new, but otherwise I focus on giving my clients me and my time.

There was the one time where I outsourced specific kinds of backlinks (.gov and .edu) because I heard they helped a lot but didn't know how to go about getting them myself. With all the updates Google constantly does, I can't say for certain if they helped or what. It was mostly just for the experience of outsourcing something. Both before and since that time, I did and continue to do everything myself. I have my own style and voice and am really picky about content and such.

If its your blog you should try to do everything yourself. I try to write a new blog/story at least one per week sometimes several times if not too busy with customer's work. As others have mentioned, this is your face and you are trying to attract people to your content, if you don't know what is going on there, and its not your writing than you are already at a loss.

I started my blog recently (a month ago) and I am not planning on outsourcing anything. I like to have control of everything I do in my business, and learn every day new skills to apply in my websites.

I think the time consumed doing everything is payed off later when you have complete control of your field. And more cheap too
