A Smart Thinking Amazon Affiliate Site

I just came across a site called Least Helpful today.

From a marketing point of view, it's gold. You let people submit funny Amazon reviews and plonk your Amazon affiliate ID on the links.

Great example of a site that operates by viral means.

It is a PR 4 site and the backlinks from such a site will be useful not to mention any probable sales. I wonder whether there is catch.

Interesting idea but does the amazon links convert well? I prefer targeted traffic over just having random people stumble on amazon through your link.

I just had a look at their terms of service and they require that you own the rights to these reviews. I am pretty sure that Amazon is the one that owns the rights to these reviews.

So I am wondering if it is wise to use our Amazon affiliate links on such a site. Even though I would love to have PR 4 back links I would be wary about posting my site or my Amazon affiliate ID on this site.

Pretty clever idea. I wonder if the site ranks well not having a lot of original content. It's just an image with a sentence per post.
I can see plenty of ways to market such a site though. Banner ads on reddit /r/funny section for example.
