Google page switch

okay I have tried finding a logic reason behind this, and looked for an explanation but nothing so far.

My home page was ranking number 3 for a key word, about 4 days ago one of my inner pages replaced the home page. i.e

home page - pr 4 off page optimization (high). on page optimization medium
inner page - pr 0 off page optimization (none). on page optimization high

only logic I have on this matter is that Google conducted a Manuel review on my site and deemed the inner page to be more relevant (which it is), but the problem I have is, which page do I optimize home page or the inner page or do I just leave it as it is?

Before any one asks I have reset the browser settings etc and checked off 5 different p.c's. And my whole web site due to traffic and social marketing gets indexed daily.

  • Just to add the home page is still indexed.
  • If you ask the question in the right sub-forum, you may find answers coming more readily:

p.s. I doubt if they did a manual review. Their software simply determined that the individual page was more relevant to that search query.

You should optimize all pages according to the traffic you want to attract to that page.

So in this case, you want to optimize the internal page for the query that is more relevant to that page.
