Best Complete Course For Newbies

by JoshN

So I started about 2 months ago and have had about half a dozen sites launched for about a month now.

I either am able to rank for miniscule keywords or cant even crack the top 500 for any term with real search volume.

I've been following Spencer Haws and Pat Flynn mostly to build niche sites.

I am looking through for a complete guide, or course even if I have to shell out some money that is very well regarded among experts and is run by people who make real money doing this.

I just need some structure because I am bouncing around too much probably being distracted by shiny objects.

Thanks,
Josh

    Hi JoshN.

I am also newbie - I have take many courses and bought many e-books in the past 2-3 months. I can recommend you as below.

    Highlighy recommend
    1. 1-1 Coaching course - Michael Flanklin - e-mail coaching
    2. Niche Profit course - VDO training
    3. Amazon mind Control - VDO training

I personally like Amazon mind Control the most - but need the basic from 1-1 coaching and niche Profit course is the basic principle that we need to know.

    Other interseting courses are
    1. bring the Fresh
    2. IMpho

Both course like a membership (but one time payment) to access their tons of materail that frequently update. Both course have tons of material from beginning to the advance.

You can find all of courses via WSO forum. If you cannot find I can find the link for you.

    Cheers!
    Chirdpong

PS: I took above courses by myself

      Hey Josh,

I've been on Bring the Fresh course, it's pretty good, tells you everything you need to know plus has a great forum.

Currently I'm on Alex Jeffrey's Marketing with Alex course and I have to say it is AWESOME. I've learnt so much, and not in an overwhelming analysis paraysis way. I can do things step by step and i took the oto and aside from the bonuses, I got access to the amazing forum there too. I understand everything to do with IM thanks to this course... Here's the link to the wso if you're interested.

I have found what works for one person doesn't always work for everyone else.

I've found that building lists was what finally got me making money quickly and continually and so I show people how to do what I did with that for free.

However, I've done some other things and even though I bought the thousands of dollars of other courses, the less expensive ones from guys making so much money already they can afford to price their stuff low was what really help.

Plus, just searching this forum and Google, too.

For example, I found this the other day searching Google for something else.

      http://www.lazyassstoner.com/case-study-how-to-build-a-profitable-niche-website-part-1/

I don't know this person and am not affiliated but here it is, laid out super simply and for free for anyone to use on how to make niche sites. You could use this for anything, not just Amazon, too.

I also suggest Advanced Blueprint because it is only $1 for a whole month (you could probably learn what you need in one month or even just a week easy).

It is step by step and even gives a lot of free software and plugins and themes to use in wordpress.

There are also a lot of free niche site items in the Make Money Online free forum and in the War Room, both on this forum.

So with all the free or very low cost options that are step by step and easy to understand and follow (even for a newbie) I don't see any reason to buy anything until later when you are making money and want to scale everything up.

      That is my opinion.

Here is what I know about this method that I posted above:
        http://www.lazyassstoner.com/case-study-how-to-build-a-profitable-niche-website-part-1/
I paid money to learn this and yet by just following these same instructions, one student is making over $1500 per site each month. Another guy PM'd me today on this forum and said he did this and is making $100 a day, that is $3000 a month from one of these sites. I just found the same instructions I paid for for you for free but the instructions are the same. Again, I am NOT in anyway affiliated with this.

I also suggest Advanced Blueprint because it is only $1 for a whole month (you could probably learn what you need in one month or even just a week easy).
This site teaches you every method. Just pick one, do it and make money. One family of four, 2 parents, 2 teenagers decided on the kindle books. Each one would put up one a day. That is 4 a day and 120 a month. They are now supporting their family on this after 3 months.

Another women choose the flipping wordpress sites on flippa. She learned to build them, SEO optimize them and automate them and then sell them. She makes $250-$550 per site and does 3-5 a week.

There are tons of other stories.

Some other people have posted about the 30 Day Challenge. I've not done it but I've read some great success stories on here about it.

So, I think you have been given a lot more information than shiny objects.

Just pick one and stick with it until you are making some money.

This guy made x amount is not a true success story. What have you made from it? I find it funny in the WSO section when people come on 10 minutes after launch and praise a product they have had in no possible way tested. You never see any one coming back a month later and stating exactly how it worked for them.

Not saying your post wasn't one of the better ones because you do give some social proof but I still stick by "if it is not making YOU money" it is no better than the sales page testimonials that so many can fake.

I have to say for me the most inclusive course and best value FREE was the 30 day challenge with Ed Dale. The Challenge
It teaches you all the different types of internet marketing and how to do each one. It also helps you make your first money online if you have never made a $.

    Hope this helps

I think you, rather than going through courses designed for newbies and reading the same old information again and again, need to find what exactly you are doing wrong. From the limited information you have provided, it appears that you have nose dived into way too many projects. I think the best strategy for someone who is relatively new to IM is to take things slowly - maybe focus on developing one website, rather than a whole lot side by side. Only by focusing all your efforts on one endeavor will you be able to rank your website so quickly. It's a difficult process. Best of luck!

Very good advice. When I was new to IM and posted on this forum, that was the main advice I had gotten.

To take one thing and really focus on that. I did and it really made a difference.

Well I've failed about 8 times so far, maybe 10.. only time will tell. Each site I built though, I realized why the last site wasn't a winner. I wrote all of the content for the first 8 sites so theres no real money lost and it was good practice.

They say if you're going to fail, then fail early and thats what I've done for sure.

I think I am getting the hang of it now, but wont really know for a couple months as these last few sites develop but they seem to be on a good track.

The problem is once UAW dissaspears I'm not really sure how I am going to create back links.
I just went around and created a youtube channel with videos for one of my new sites. Although I heard youtube are no follow links, they still supposedly help.

Theses are the finer areas where I probably will come up with 50 small questions over the next week

I should state that I'm building niche sites, so I can get them up on the web with 5-6 articles in a couple days.

It does seem though that authority sites are going to be the only way to go soon though. I was hoping I could build many niche sites, see which ones get the most traction and then build them out into authority sites, but google is changing so fast that I am having a hard time just making them successful niche sites first.

Funny enough someone suggested the challenge by ed dale and I had actually signed up for that when I started out.

I became distracted though and never went through it so I fugred its free and I already have access to it why not give it a shot.

I noticed a lot of it is out of date (at least what I've see in the first 2 modules) but some of the ideas for keyword research and determining if you can monetize a niche are timeless and still good. Some of which I actually already forgot and a couple new little ideas like looking in odd magazines for unique advertisements.

I haven't done this yet, and I've actually stayed away from products all together. I have been focusing purely on information sites thus far.

I totally agree with you...When first starting out, the most important thing to do is have a plan in place first and then, break that plan down into smaller pieces and approach each piece of the process, one piece at a time until it's completely finished.

And when first starting out, always, always work on one endeavor at a time. Don't get distracted by everything that's offered out there, otherwise you will find yourself jumping all over the place and not getting anything accomplished.

Another good thing I just kinda skipped by but am aware of. I indirectly read this though because I follow pat flynn and he used this information for his niche site battle.

It doesn't hurt to actually read it start to finish.

The Ed Dale stuff as I'm going through it, is really really outdated. I'm surprised he hasn't updated it.

There are modules that are being updated. In reality what needs to be updated is back linking strategy. On page SEO has never changed. It's the off page stuff that changes. Keyword/competition research is the most important element and that doesn't need to be updated. Now available is contruct.ly which is similar to word press direct but is free.

I think 30 Day Challenge heavily depends on Market Samurai, and individually paid components of it. I might be wrong, as I haven't touch Ed Dale's training for years. Things might have changed.

Ed is a great guy, and Market Samurai can be a great investment. But, I'm hearing from newbie IMers that they'd leave the challenge because of the "forced software".

@ Josh - It's all about your focus and willingness to stick to the plan. I hope you can find whatever you're looking for. If you need a second thought on products you've heard here, you can take a look at Internet Marketing Product Reviews & Ratings
You can find lots of useful info and reviews in that sub-forum.

While most of my products/courses are not for newbies,
this thread convinced me that it's worth trying really
hard to get word out about my new one that's suitable
for folks of all levels of experience.

It's been a long time since I followed a course fully,
from start to finish, but think the "Fatcat Blueprint"
is one that would fit the bill for Adsense minisites.

          All success

It's the best course for a newbie. However you have to realize that the purpose of the Challenge is to test a market to see if you should peruse it further. It's not necessarily to make $.

    Hey Josh.

I'm currently enrolled in Kensters 'Six Figure Alliance' and I've got to say it's the best money I've ever spent on Internet marketing. I highly recommend it.

I haven't found a better program to help you get familiar with the basics of Internet marketing and assist you in starting to make an income online. It will set you back a bit of money but it's worth it.

Although upon writing this I just realized it's currently closed. But if it opens back up... Jump on it quickly!

The best free alternative I've found is Ed Dales 30 day challenge. I completed it and learnt a ton.

Both are newbie friendly depending on your current level of expertise.

    Good luck

Personally the best course in my opinion is the one I followed myself as a newbie. That is Ed Dales 30 day Challenge. The Challenge

Its free and gives you a full insight into building sites, ranking them, getting traffic, making money, and flipping sites.

I really learnt everything I needed to know there.

I've just started with Kenster's Six-Figure Alliance. There is a ton of great content in there that is organized in a step-by-step fashion. They've got a very active Skype group as well.

Mike Johnson's Profit.FM site is modeled after a complete business plan approach, although it is focused on SEO and niche blogs rather than using paid traffic.

I have found Russ Ruffino's products to be a good starting point too, although it's more bits and pieces than a complete guide.

The DotComX program is good too and you can get started with that for only $1.

Whatever you decide to do, and most of these coaches will emphasize...pick one thing and stick with it until you see results. Avoid the information overload factor.

Most of the recommended products of the members here in this thread are great, even for newbies. However, it will only WORK if you set your mind into it--follow the the tutorials, the methods, and the coaching. And don't forget to COMMIT yourself. If you do that, there is no doubt that you will succeed.

You stated your looking for a best complete course, but have you considered joining the War Room here at Warrior? I'd wager you'll find thousands of dollars worth of free downloads the first day.

Even if you do not find the "perfect System" , you should at the very least be able to make much more informed decisions as you move forward. - winlin's 2 cents.

    Hi,
Even though I am not exactly a newbie in IM however I have also struggled to concentrate and focus. Almost all the course tell you the same information (how to create website, how to get traffic, keyword research and so on). I think 1-1 coaching is the best way to learn and it helps you keep on track.

I signed up tomorrow for 1-1 coaching for Martin (here on WF) and you can also find some good coaching classes. I have also heard good feedback for bring the Fresh. However I haven't tested it myself yet.

I started the internet marketing arena and faced many challenges that I can say that I have become a definite warrior worthy of writing on this topic.

I have tried many products, many courses, read countless books and attended many webinars.

The truth is for any new warrior entering the internet marketing arena is that you must face as many challenges head on and learn from everything you do.

You have to read, listen, watch, and discuss internet marketing until you begin thinking internet marketing and dreaming internet marketing.

After bleeding internet marketing, you will begin to learn what creates a better SEO ranking on alexa from the articles you write and backlinks you create. You will see how well a youtube video converts and how your facebook and twitter followings make you money.

From the many battle scars that you create in the internet marketing arena, you will become an internet marketing warrior that will be experienced enough to know that you can do this yourself and that most of the stuff that is out there you already know.

Gather your knowlege and apply them to your success, if you sign up with Jamie or with the crazy killing google sniper, learn from them as your teachers and use their knowledge to succeed.

Listen to what they say and to what others say regarding what works and what doesn't....don't reinvent the wheel because you will just waist time and possibly money....

Also, if you want to learn how to build website? Then LEARN IT! Don't waist your time looking for ways to build a website because you will find too many different ways to do it... Just build one! Find a tutorial, find a diy video, get wordpress, or just do blogger.... whatever! But do it! And Do it again! Then Again!.........and Again!....Trust me...You won't get it right the first time....and if you do...then congrats...but if you didn't...that's okay...because its okay to not be the best at something you Don't know...but its okay to try something you don't know and learn from it until GUESS WHAT....You Know it...

Good luck my Newbie friends....You will succeed if it is what you aim for!

when I first started I never actually bought a course, It wasn't until I was already making about $6,000 a month profit with IM that I actually bought a course.

What I did though was watch what successful people were doing, I studied and watched what they did closely. I still find this very beneficial actually watching what they do instead of listening to them.

They do share great advice yes, but you learn more by actually modeling, not copying but modeling what they do.

Find a few successful people and watch them closely. Then buy a program that fits as closely to what you actually see successful people doing as possible.

Lots of fine courses have been recommended by fellow Warriors. Pick one that intrigues you and focus on it. Then take massive action. Action taking is where the magic is.

I'm a relative newbie as well. I have obviously flushed a lot of money down the crapper chasing pipe dreams from the "gurus". I'm glad I found a home where I did (not going to mention it because I don't really know the rules of the forum). But I was thinking about getting into solo ads to build my list. But again...I don't want to waste money. Any suggestions?

One mistake most people make is to sign onto lot's of lists DON'T, if anything unsubscribe, from all that you are not using. Recent white lists that have been cleaned regularly could help to build your list, but a big list is like 10,000 likes no good if they are not buyers ! Provide value and build your own list.

There are lots of great courses out there. You cannot get everything from just one course, you have to focus on a certain area and then get the course that covers that.

    Good luck!

  • I also agree with Bring The Fresh, the course is really good and newbie-friendly. The videos are awesome and updated regularly. They also have an amazingly good & active forum where you can ask questions and learn from what others are doing. Would recommend to check it out.

Agree your inbox overflowing with shed loads of sales emails offering the latest push button software and gift wrapped dreams for $7 will never help you move forwards.

However a mentor can be of great help. Someone to turn to when you have a question you need answered quickly and clearly. Also someone to give you a kick up the backside if you start to slack or buy another shiny new to to add to your nest.

Beware though of anyone who "guarantees success". Without doing the work yourself there is no way you can ever guarantee someone else's work will succeed. Even you own work can work for one thing and flounder for another as this business is constantly evolving.

Instead look for someone who will teach you the basics and help YOU develop YOUR skills from there.
