Why are you having trouble finding a niche? I'd bet that's not really your problem - your problem is *choosing* a niche. There are tons of niches but you have to decide on one and take action.

If you're that stuck why don't you take the traditional route first? That is, sit down and right out (in a brainstorming fashion) everything and anything that interests you. Look at your hobbies, skills, professional background, do the same for your parents, spouse, family etc. Finding a niche is next to impossible NOT to do as they are everywhere. But CHOOSING a niche is a different thing all together.

Only you can decide what niche you want to jump into. You can get ideas from hundreds of places. Jump on Amazon and start looking at the best sellers in various categories. Jump on eBay pulse and see what's hopping over there. Etc. etc...

How can you not find a niche, especially in the forum. You can't wait for someone to tell you whats good out there for a niche that depends on you, a niche that is great for someone else may not be all sunshine and rainbows for yourself.

But Im not gonna criticize and not help so this is what you need to do.

Step 1. Figure out your talents, hobbies, skills, or recreation whether its software design, graphics, articles, plrs, food, gambling, sports, you see how this list can go on and on.

Step 2. After you made your list of subjects and markets you can execute go to the forum and search engines to review whats out there what do you need to do to make youself stand out (no one from these markets can tell you how to do this or you wouldn't be standing out now would you).

Step 3. Now that you have your niche and the rest is really all about how to put it out there and we can be here all day with that one.

I think your main problem sounds like you're making things way to complicated in your mind. If you take a breather and look around you just might surprise yourself on how easy marketing a niche can be (I said easy, I didnt say not a lot of work).

    Hope I helped out

Our goal as affiliate's, regardless of what method we will be using for promotion, is to find a group of people hungry for something and give it to them on a silver platter in return for commission via our affiliate links.

But for us, the whole process starts way before this, our goal is not, never has been and never will be a case of randomly selecting a product or niche and just jumping in with both feet, especially if you are looking at Pay Per Click as a method of promotion, you could lose your shirt quicker than you put it on this morning.

Even if you are to be using free methods of promotion, SEO, articles etc, you could still be wasting a whole lot of time if you jump with the first product you find and run with it....

    So...

These come in many forms as I will detail below:

Let's be clear on one thing....niche's are everywhere around us all the time...

Golfers, Weddings, Pregnancy, Typists, Photographers, Computer Game Enthusiasts, Sporty Types...

Literally everyone can be assigned to a niche category...but what we are looking for is a hungry niche, almost (but not necessary exclusively) untapped by marketers..

I find that my favourite and most successful method is to look for*hot niche's first, very public and broad niches that we can then drill down into...do this in the correct order and you will soon find that it works every time...

Essentially what we need to do is gravitate towards places/sites or reference points that include real life examples of current trends, hotspots and generally updated information from today that shows what is hot and what is not in the world, online or offline.

Either way doesn't matter, but what YOU need is to find those hot topics and start to dig a little as to why they seem to be getting so much attention.

I have listed below a few of my ports of call when looking for popular topics/interests and groups of people who are hungry for something, ideally verging on the fanatical a little...

There are some great sources of reference here.. take some time to get used to each interface and how you can best use them for your research.

*See here for a select few of my favourites:*

    1) Google Zeitgeist Google Press Center: Zeitgeist

    2) Yahoo! Buzz What's Buzzing? You Tell Us! Top News and More - Yahoo! Buzz

    3) eBay - Pulse hot items from eBay

    4) Google Trends Google Trends

    5) Amazon Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more

All the above are frequently updated and active points of reference for topics, subjects, industries, hobbies and products that are creating a buzz, or already getting big news on a regular basis.

From here you will be able to create a list of 20 hot topics that are current and active... and start digging a little deeper for more towards what options are available within them.

Now, I always recommend at this point that you need to pre-judge*nothing...

Make your list and dig for profitability later...

What we should be aiming to do is get a feel for the process of niche selection and to begin to familiarize yourself with the*how, of picking niches and finding hot topics or trends that we may be able to run with.

It is an important stage to cover which will carry you through your affiliate career.

If you can't find a niche from the above hotspots.. then maybe you should go get a job

    Peace

    Jay

p.s. I really should say... that this works for me day in, day out.. but it might not work for you, my mind has been known to operate in a fashion that is usually considered "weird" lol so don't be afraid to adapt this to fit your needs...

Pick something you like to talk about then use https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal to help you break down who is searching for what and go from there.

Well at least thats my 2 cents and I know I am new.
