How to design a WSO sales page with Photosop?

I really like how professional sales pages look when done with Photoshop.

I have several graphics packages and would like to use Photoshop to do my own WSO sales page design using MGT and other packs, but I don't have a clue....

Can anyone guide me to a tutorial on how to design a sales page/WSO with Photoshop? Free or paid....

Or a good and affordable WSO sales page designer....

Thanks!

    Hey xtremarketer,

If you have no clue with Photoshop, I think you'll spend a lot of time for minimal result.

Why don't you get a wordpress theme that is specifically made for sales pages and landing pages? It's called Optimizepress, I think it sells for 70$.
I don't own it, but I saw people using it, it's very convenient.

    Good luck

You'd fare better seeking to learn Photoshop in general.

      - or Illustrator.

You're better of just watching videos on general PS functions.
If you are in a rush, then you might want to give that a miss.

I would suggest you to hire a designer available in warrior for hire session. A sales page may cost $20 - $120 depending on your needs. I paid around $35 for that kind of design so you might get a clue and I get a click

You can outsource it on Fiverr for $5 otherwise you will have to pay higher by hiring designer from Elance or Freelancer.com. Better to learn it yourself, watch on Youtube tutorial or buy tutorial video from ebay.com (Cost less than $20).

      Maz,

You can create a layout for your webpage in Photoshop but you will need to code the (x)html and CSS.

Your post states you like the look of "professional sales pages." If you are only looking to create a graphic embedded on a page/email, then you don't really need to use CSS and can do it all in Photoshop and save it as an image file, but you would still need to have some experience with Photoshop and layout and design to achieve a quality result.

If you are unfamiliar with Photoshop and CSS, and you want a clean layout, your best bet is probably to secure the services of a designer.

There are a number of free tutorials on the web (run a search on "Photoshop tutorials", "CSS layout tutorials" and "Photoshop to HTML and CSS tutorials) but if you don't have a grounding in the fundamentals, the likelihood of achieving the results you are seeking is not in your favor.

I agree hire a professional, if you don't already know how to use it yours will look nowhere near as good as someone that does it for a living.

One of the things IM has taught me is to not try and learn everything yourself... Thats what outsourcing is for.

          I agree with philhunter.

Get yourself a professional photoshop designer at fiverr dot com and you can advise him to create the salespage exactly what you want (show a sample template if you have one)

^ The problem i have with outsourcing, is that (most often than not) it is very difficult to find a designer with a marketing brain and think like a 'warrior' to translate the vendors sell into a proper, catchy WSO design page.
I've seen some horribly outsourced designs, which shouldn't have been used - I can only imagine what the sales turnover was like.

I have helped many clients on here succeed in generating the sales they deserve in a WSO thread, so don't necessarily think going cheaper is always going to work.

It's kind of like asking how to service a car. No one can possibly teach you how to create a salespage in Photoshop in a post on a forum. Graphic design is a skill people take years to perfect and if you have no experience then you could end up wasting a lot of your time that would be better spent on product creation. Just get someone to create the salespage for you. It will cost you but not as much as the timer you would waste trying to learn Photoshop from scratch.

If you already know how to use Photoshop, that's great, but are you a designer? If you don't have a clue how to design, it's probably not going to come out looking very good. There is no quick tutorial to teach design. You either study design on your own and practice, practice, practice or you learn design in college.

Knowing photoshop is always a good thing, and you can learn photoshop from tutorials on youtube or on Lynda.com. However, if you don't know what you're doing and you're trying to create something to make you business, it is not a good idea to be practicing with that to learn a program. You'll get half-assed results, and throw up your hands in frustration. That's why it's better to just learn the program, do a couple of projects and then eventually you can make your own pages. Meanwhile follow the advice of every one here: outsource the project.
