Autoresponder Instanity! Parsing vs Api?

Hello,

Recently, during the creation of my new network marketing company, I dropped $58K on software to take orders, create replicated sites, send autoresponder messages, etc.

However, now that we're in deep --- they explain that "autoresponders" mean "to customers and Associates only, NOT leads/prospects".

And no amount of proof will get them to understand that their definition is insane!

SO --- now I'm on the hunt for a great autoresponder service that I can "integrate" with their software.

I'd like to use Aweber, but they don't have an API. They do something I hadn't heard of called "email parsing" (I'm not a techie)

I've been led to believe that to do what I need the system to do (exchange data back and forth inside of each system), I need an available API.

So (I'm guessing) that Aweber is out.

I've heard that GetResponse and iContact both have API's - but I'm wondering:

- Would you recommend one of these over another?

- Has anyone had experience working with their API's?

- Is there a better autoresponder service with an API?

- Or, is there still a way to use Aweber - even though they don't have an API?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

And I think that that anyone selling $58,000 pieces of software should NOT be allowed to say they have an "autoresponder" - if it only sends messages to people who have paid you money.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,
Jeff
