What does fresh content for my site means?

Hi. I am confused when people tell me that in order for my site to rank better I new new content or additional content.

What does this mean?

Does this mean I need to delete all of my content on my site and replace it with new content?

or..

Does this mean I need to write new 100% unique articles and distribute them to article directories to increase my ornanic traffic?

So what am I suppose to change, the content on my site that is already optimized for my keyword, or just hire someone to write me an article and then get that article and distribute it.

Which brings me to my next question. Sorry for asking this questions by the way, I am new to this. So I read that many people try to get backlinks over and over to get better rankings. But I heard someone said that often people forget that one of the oldest way to get traffic is from articles.

How do you this?

Do you hire someone in here to write you an article with your keyword?
Do you tell the writer the keyword density?
What do you do when the article is finish?
Do you tell the write your url so he puts it on the bottom of the article?
How do you get traffic to your adsense site?
Where do you distribute it?
How do you distribute it?

Sorry I am sooo confused about this. It would be nice a step by step action plan.

Thank you warriors :O)

Quite simply, what they are trying to say is that the content you have on your site should never be enough. They mean that you should be adding new content all the time.

I doubt they mean that you need to delete the content that you have, unless it is particularly bad...

Again, I don't know if you need all new content or just need to add. Depends on what you have on your site. If the person who gave you this advice is saying that your current content is bad, then yes you need to go with a different author most likely.

I wrote this article marketing thread to try to cover the topic.
    Take a look.

    Let's see:
    1. You certainly can hire someone if you don't feel confident in writing the material yourself.
    2. If you are looking to bring traffic due to high quality articles, then keyword density is a word you should remove from your vocabulary. Don't handcuff your writers by trying to fit some nonsense term. Let them write a great piece.
    3. You review it, have it edited if necessary, and then you publish it. Publishing is discussed in more detail in the thread I linked to.
    4. I've never had someone tell me to do that, the client adds links themselves.
    5. Good question, I'll let you know if I ever do Adsense .
    6. I distribute it throughout my syndication network (again, described in the linked thread), and leave a copy at EZA last.
    7. Through email, usually.

It seems that he is missing the point of the info that is being given to him as it relates to blogs and not static sites.

        What is a static site??

No I do have a normal adsense site. I just need to get some backlinks but I heard through articles distribution I can get some good backlinks but I am not sure of the step by step process

A site which remains the same over time, i.e. it doesn't get updated/changed/new content added.

Google has always seemed to prefer regularly updated sites/site which have a bit of new content added reasonably regularly. But this isn't "the answer to everything": some static sites rank very highly, as well.

It's true that you can get some good quality backlinks through article syndication to relevant sites in your niche, but this is a side-benefit of article syndication rather than its main purpose.

What you can't do is get good backlinks from article directories: those are dreadful backlinks. Article directories are simply a stepping stone to traffic generation (and some future, relevant backlinks).

It will help you a lot to read (and keep reading) Joe Robinson's reply above.

This post might also help: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

Key concept: article marketing isn't intrinsically "part of SEO" - it's a traffic generating method in its own right. (It's also true that in the longer term it can lead to some good backlinks, if the articles are well-written for syndication, and achieve syndication to relevant sites of decent quality. And it's also true that just publishing good quality additional articles on your own site regularly will help Google to like your site, to some extent - but don't expect miracles from it).

This just means that you need to update your site with new articles/posts.

These new articles or posts can target keywords related to your niche...

You do not need to get rid of your current content...just add more..for example you have a blog that has 3 posts on it this month....adding 3 more posts by the end of the month would be your fresh/additional content

You should continually add new, quality content.

You should generally NOT delete any of the old content unless it is REALLY bad. Old content probably already is indexed and may even have some links. In other words, it has some value in terms of traffic. Only if it detracts from your site should you consider deleting it.

Good content should also make use of some of your keywords. But it's important not to over do it. 2 - 3 keywords max is usually enough.

i was confused the same as you but then a professional advice helped me a lot, it simply means you add new content to your site, you dont need to remove or edit your old content.

As i said I was confused myself until i followed that expertise advice and I saw a good traffic flow into my sites, also try to build some backlinking every month as it will help you a lot. Good Luck
