Would I be greedy pushing TWO products on people?

I'm doing a traditional review-style landing page. Usually, these types of landers have a clear cut #1 listed. I was going to try out like a 1A and 1B, and urge the user to sign up with BOTH (Step 1 then Step 2), especially since they both have cheap trials that, combined, are way under what someone would normally pay for just one of that type of product.

Do you think I would be going for too much and possibly hurt conversion rates? Has anyone tested this against the more traditional method?

not tested this method but i wouldn't see any problems having just 2 products which could potentially lead to conversions..Good luck

I dont think whether or not it is greedy is the right question:

If BOTH of the products offer more value depending on what you are looking for then I think it is a good idea.

I have to agree with Chris here.

Put yourself into the mind of a visitor to a similar review site. Would you be hacked off if the site suggested you sign up to both?

Are you providing just this answer or are you also saying 'if you have to choose one then x is probably better, though it is recommended that you sign up for both'?

If the second product is presented as an upsell then it's ok.

If they are presented simultaneously and ask people to make the choice, that can
hurt your conversions, since when people are presented with only one option it's
very simple to decide, if there is multiple choice it requires them to think and make a
decision and they get confused and might just leave.

I definitely wouldn't use the word greedy and if done right this could be very successful.

It really depends on so many different elements. Greedy is too big of a word you know.

I do not think it is greedy to offer several different products at all.

As long as both products add value to the consumer. you should never offer anything that will not help your client.

The other thing that I would say is to make sure that you tell the client why or how these products work together and why you believe it is best for them to have both products.

    Hope this helps.

Nothing in marketing can be termed as greedy, term it as increasing your ROI :-).

One way of going about it would be to get them on your list first and then send them an offer each in two different mails. Or, position the more expensive product on your landing page and if they leave pitch the second product with an exit pop up. If they buy your first product you will can get their email address anyway.
