May I ask three little questions? They're designed to provoke thought/discussion, I admit, but not to criticise ...

    (i) Which would you rather earn, 100% of $17 or 50% of $47?

    (ii) Which would you rather earn, 100% of $37 with a 1% conversion-rate, or 50% of the same $37 with a 3% conversion-rate?

(iii) What sort of criterion is "100% commission", really, when it comes to selecting products as an affiliate?

I wish all affiliates were like you Alexa.

You would be surprised at the affiliates that would rather promote the $7 product at 100% than the exact same product at $21 and 75%.

It gets to the point of almost not being worth it to produce a quality product anymore if affiliate traffic is your main vehicle.

It's hard to find a quality product that gives 100%. On the other hand its very easy to find crap that gives 100% commission and does not sell.

It's hard to find a program that pays long time 100% commission and grows and is a good long term investment. On the other hand it is very easy to find a program that offer 200% and does not pay and goes under.

Nothing against the 100% model but the seller who gives say 50% to affiliates and the other 50% gets invested in to improving his product will make more money for both him and his affiliate. I never give more than 50% simply because in my niche, fitness, you have to come up with new and exciting products/videos/workouts/routines all the time and this costs money. I will always beat the 100% guy simply because I will throw money at my problems, and he cant. I will grow faster and sell more.

        Think before you promote...

100% products were established to build the list of the producer. Then we started adding a oto back end at 50%. Now a product creator needs to set up a 100% front end .. a 50% oto .. and a back end product to promote to the list to make any money.

It is getting to the point of being more profitable to just use the 100% product as email bait and do solo ads.

I have also noticed the affiliates that demand 100% products are also the ones that seldom make the producer enough money to ever need to send them a 1099.

      It's a good question, really.

I'm inclined to side with what Alexa appears to be alluding to... that commission percentage per sale alone is not a good way to determine which product or service to promote as an affiliate.

What are you really trying to get at with your request?

      I totally agree with Alexa,
you should not look at 100% commission rate.
Conversion rate is more important than anything else.

Like others above have mentioned, I've never found the percentage to be important. What is really more important is the product price and the likelihood that you're going to be able to sell it.

It might sound great to have a product that gives you hundred percent commission, but realistically speaking, there is normally a reason why producers are offering such a high percentage.

If you are still interested, WarriorPlus has many products that offer 100% commission.

I agree with most people here about the fact that its not in your best interest to promote something ONLY because it has 100% commission.

But I can tell you what, PPMC not only offers 100% commissions, they build you over 20 sales funnel and they'll be completed in less than an hour of submitting the Aweber list names.

The best part is, you get paid INSTANTLY through PayPal. Not waiting 60 days with Clickbank. This is fundamental to your cash flow.

There's really no need for too much spanking of the OP's decision (and probably many more affiliates) to look out for and promote 100% commissions. Two years ago it would be foolhardy to promote anything less than $10 bucks for less than a 100% commission, but now I find marketers offering 50% commissions for a $7 product.

Better get a life. You'll not get rich in IM promoting a $7 product at nothing less than a 100% commission.

BTW for the OP, there are numerous 100% commission products on warriorplus, jvzoo and payspree.
Just remember to ask for a review copy or buy it yourself before promoting to your list.

I don't understand one thing if you will get all the commission (100%). Then what will merchant get from that?

..Absolutely. If something looks too good to be true it probably is. A couple of things:

      * it might be that the publisher/advertiser wants to grab market share quickly so offers 100% to drive quick traffic - attract as many affiliates as possible;

      * 100% commission will most likely be a gross figure - i.e. it's 100% of sale price less every expense under the sun.

But just as importantly as others says don't get fixated by 100% offers.

At is most basic level your equation should be:

Commission Opportunity (e.g. CPA) x Conversion Rate

...and simply keep testing until you find a product/brand that gives you the best result.

As Tom mentions above, you get a list of buyers in return. That's the most valuable kind of list you can have.

Forgetting affiliates for the moment, think about the marketers who give a "free report" or "free product" just to build their list. What they're building, by doing that, is a list containing some potential customers and some pure freebie-seekers who are never going to be customers, with no way to distinguish between the two groups.

If, instead of giving something away, they sell it even for $1, the list they end up with is smaller but perhaps far more valuable. They're all buyers. This matters: even being a buyer of just a $1 product shows that you have either a credit-card or a PayPal account and the ability and willingness to use it online.

Now look at it from a vendor's perspective. Perhaps he has a sales funnel with products for sale at $37, $97 and $247. If he can sell a lot of some super-good-value, outstanding-quality product at $7 or even $17, he builds a list of highly qualified buyers: one of the most valuable assets his business can have. For a $7 product, to make a large number of sales, he'll probably have to offer affiliates 100% commission, and maybe the same's even true for a $17 product. It's worth it, from his perspective, because he ands up making some $247 sales through using affiliates' lists and connections - sales he can't otherwise easily make.

In other words, it's partly/mostly about list building and list quality.

The biggest list and the most valuable list are typically two different things: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6123982

try WarriorPlus or JVZoo.com - Instant Commission Platform for Sellers and Affiliates or RAP Bank*Instant Commissions Vault
or just search for sellers that offer 100% commissions in any other affiliate program.

by the way, don't chase the commissions, chase the quality and the conversions...

you could promote a $97 quality product with 60% commissions at $2 EPC rather than promoting a $17 not so quality product with %100 commissions on $0.70 epc, it will do your list and your self MUCH BETTER!

Many of the Top affilaites on the Warrior forum will only consider promoting your product at between 80% and 100% Commission .

For an info product like an ebook I would say that is fine , use it to build your list . For a software product it is just not wise to offer such a high commission . As you need to consider your investment costs , your support . Many software products will have some issues or matters that some buyers dont know how to use . So support will eat a lot of your time and for no reward if you are offering 100% or even 80% commission .

It is a greed that will drive many quality sellers to look elsewhere to promote . It is a demand that is shortsighted and I believe will be shortlived . Kinda like killing the goose that lays the golden egg.
