Is there a service that notifies you when you lose links to a target URL? I know there are monitoring services like Majestic SEO, but is there anything that sends out an email notifications on any link profile changes?

There are browser plugins that report any dead links on a given page, this rather basic check is worth doing now and then since dead links can hurt your search ranking.

I haven't heard of services that monitor outgoing or incoming links for changes, other than simple link exchange management software that checks for your counterpart dropping their link to your site.

I believe they call it Google, and you know when you lose rankings Outside of that, I don't know of any. It's something I would probably pay for if someone had a service however.
