I saw Willie just the other day - we live close to each other - and had a brief but nice little chat. I can't get away but if I could I'd be there for my friend's birthday!

There should be a DVD in it to help you out. If not, see how to practice with it here.

This is our 20th anniversary of the hinge club and we still sell hundreds each day so it must be doing something for players!

Chuck, I can't believe you have the courage to tell everyone Willie is your friend, that will give you a bad reputation. LOL Actually, I have never met Willie in person but talked to him on the phone, in emails and messages quite a bit and he has helped me a lot over the years. He's a damn good man, but don't ever tell him I said that, it would ruin our relationship.

When you saw me I was just finishing up with an offline
line consulting client from Panama City. We met at
Panera because it was a little less of a drive for him,
and a beautiful location.

I do need to get out and play a round or two of golf

Stephen's IM speaking career, in that he first spoke
at seminar that I hosted in 2003. He says speaking at

I wish I would be able to make it. But, unfortunately my schedule is booked up.

It seems to always work that way whenever I'm trying to catch something Willie is doing. He is like my marketing idol, but I still have not met him in person.

online, can take their toll... except that I don't work
very hard right now

Back when I first fell off my dinosaur, dirt had already
been invented. Joel Comm did give me a chapter in his

When I first heard about this party, I thought maybe it would be held on the beautiful Emerald Coast

Orlando is nice too, but nothing beats the white sand and emerald water of northwest Florida.

It sounds like a great time! I definitely hope to make it!

I agree that few places compare to the beautiful
Emerald Coast.

I've hosted 2 seminar before in Pensacola and on Okaloosa
Island, and Orlando is just more convenient for more people.
That was probably the biggest consideration in choosing a
location.

Well, my birthday is actually the day before the bash, but
we wanted the gathering on over the weekend.

Someone else IS doing 90% of the work.

When you do what you enjoy, it's really NOT work,
so I haven't worked since 2003 when I retired from
the USAF. However, by then, I had actually already
hosted my FIRST live seminar :-)

Actually Willie will be doing NONE of the work.

Unfortunately for him, he left the entire roast and
details for that up to the emcee.

Which is me!

Willie's got ninjas everywhere. It's a full time job
trying to keep him from finding out what I'm
planning for the "roast".

you've overcome a ton and you deserve all your accolades to this day.

As well no buttering up here as none is required, you've been a rock for the warrior
forum and sometimes the voice of reason.

Having been on your list (under multiple pen names) for many years now I've learned
a ton from you and suffice to say made some serious cash off of your free content
you provide in your ezine.

(hey when its good you got to leverage it)

I'm not on too many ezines list but yours is the one I always open, always read
through, and always click on the links. (That's power you have)

So for that I say Happy Birthday and 50yrs more to come, keep the juice coming

I will definitely be there. I am speaking on Sunday morning. It's going to be a hot event and lots of great networking opportunities. Finally a chance to meet many of my colleagues I have known for some time and have not met face to face.

Willie and I had a great conversation tonight where we talked about what people can expect at his Bash.

I've never attended one of these seminars, but can't make it there until Saturday AM --Willie, or anyone else--I know I'll miss the roast Friday night, but will it be worth it to go Saturday and Sunday?

I'd say definitely YES

I attend quite a few events, and sometimes have to arrive late or leave early (I'm a single mom, so working around kids' schedules). It's always worth it if you can squeeze in a few sessions and some networking. Great to meet everyone in person when you can!

Hoping to go, too! My writing workshop uses Willie's paperback book, "Git off the porch!" And the workshop attendees want to go -- they're male inmates in a re-entry program in a State prison. Now to just get the warden to agree to a road trip

The hotel is 10-15 minutes from Disneyland and probably
has a free shuttle bus there. I negotiated special discount
room rates and they offered to extend those rates for a
few days before and after my birthday bash

The weather should be very nice then and several attendees
have already told me that they're turning it into a family
vacation!

This is weird- I've posted the link on Twitter a few times, and I have at least 3 people telling me it looks like a "scam site" - whatever that is.

I keep asking them what about it makes them think that, because it looks like a normal sales page to me, and I'm curious what would make people think a regular site was a scam.

So far haven't been able to get a straight answer as to what they mean- can anyone tell from looking at the site?

It was suggested that I rent a tux for the event and I do realize it is a formal event,.. but I just couldn't resist. Formal has many definitions and I will be dressed to the hilt...

The panelists for the roast are the only folks who have
to wear a tux....besides the guest of honor :-)

But you can come dressed like that....

I may have to rethink my attire after that!
