Help creating PLR's and Selling them with something OTHER THEN PAYPAL please.

Please bare with me on this as I may sound like I don't even know what I'm talking about. Probably because it's true. My head has been swimming through information and I've been dragged out to sea and can't see the shore anymore.

This is where I need some help.

I've been freelancing on Elance for some time now. The majority of what I do is create articles, blogs and web content for others but I've run into a bit of a problem. It's not as popular anymore to do this type of work and I'm lucky to win a proposal over the people who say "I'll write your 100 page eBook for $20!"

So I come to all of you now. I've been thinking of just writing PLR articles rather then waiting for someone to tell me to do it with a price attached. This seems to be a much more stable option as I ultimately want to be writing full time. I have plenty of topics in mind and can write between 25 to 50 articles in a day. All of which being 100% unique and publish ready at the end of the day. I just don't know where to go with this however.

I've read so many posts and threads by really great writers and people who sound like they just plain know what they're doing and I don't know what is right for me.

#1 Problem: Paypal and I don't get along in a matter of speaking. I ran a successful business over a year ago with over 10,000 unique views everyday but, unfortunately, with selling comes the potential for fraud. Though I had the funds to deal with the fraudsters myself, Paypal apparently had a policy in place that they acted on. I wasn't aware of it until after it had happened. According to their policy, if the dispute percentage reaches above 1% they have to right to permanently lock your account. Though I argued it was unfair, I wasn't selling a 'tangible' product, and for all my efforts of screenshots, it wasn't enough to unlock my account. Needless to say I lost my business and any ability to ever utilize paypal again. They even went after my fiance's account because we use the same IP address (same computer) and shut his down claiming I could access it, therefore he wasn't allowed to have his either.

But enough about my sob story, the bottom line is, is there another place where you can use a payment system that doesn't involve Paypal? I have an Alert Pay account, OKPay, and even Google Checkout but they don't seem to be as popular. Even if there was a payment processor that would not expose personal banking information but to have it set up to have someone pay use debit or credit directly to my bank account, for example, like Elance provides, I'd greatly appreciate the information.

#2 Problem: Where do you sell PLR articles and how many licenses should be given out, roughly? I've read up on quite a few places but again, the issue of Paypal comes in to play. Sounds great until you realize you don't have the processor to collect the funds.

I've seen how people suggest bundling packages of the PLR articles together and selling them at great prices, combining them into an eBook, etc. All of it sounds wonderful, I just don't know where to go with that.

I've also seen where some people will sell unlimited licenses where as others feel that's more damaging and will sell between 2 and 50 on average. I can understand the concept on that and also understand the limited number tend to sell at a higher price but I don't want to over sell you see. Articles can be spun hundreds of different ways but you're still getting the same information. Even I have to agree that after awhile you want to read something new and not the same information in a different order. So where's the limit would you say?

Thank you all for helping with this, I appreciate it.

Basically, you will need a shopping cart in order to sell PLR - and these can be set up with a number of different payment processors, including the ones you mentioned. Your main issue will be whether your customers want to use those processors, as many are so used to PayPal. I do believe, though, that they can still pay by PayPal when they use Google Checkout so that could help solve the problem.

A couple of popular shopping carts include e-Junkie and DL Guard - you may want to check these out. e-Junkie is the most affordable and allows you to have affiliates from day 1 which is a really good way to go (PLR sellers like to promote one another!) You would simply register a domain name and maybe use Wordpress to set up your site, and add your e-Junkie buy button there.

The other option is to do PLR sales through WSOs only, but you will have to look into whether services like JV Zoo or Warrior Plus have non-PayPal options. If not, you can use your e-Junkie or other shopping cart links in the WSO instead.

    PLR Licenses...

As for PLR licenses, this has been discussed a few times on the forum, you may want to do a search but I will give you my point of view.

As a PLR buyer, I don't mind whether it's limited or unlimited as I know most buyers never use their PLR, and I always rewrite mine anyway. However, I know many buyers look for limited PLR so I decided as a PLR seller to limit most of my packs to 150 articles. This is a large enough limit for me to not have to raise the price. If I limited to, say, 50 packs sold, I may have to charge more than I do ($1 per article normal, less for WSOs)

You'll definitely want to bundle packs of articles together to create packs of 10+ articles or eBooks etc. Have a look around the forum, see what's selling well. You can also sign up as an affiliate on JV Zoo or Warrior+ and get some stats about what's selling there, too.

It sounds like you have good experience for writing PLR - the fact that you can write so much will help get you up and running a lot faster. But PLR can be slow in the start, it can take a while to make money. If you focus on building a following and building an email list to notify of your new releases, you'll find it gets easier and easier as time goes on.

Thank you so very much. That information was very helpful and gives me a better understanding on where to go.

I'll definitely look into Google Checkout further and see if receiving Paypal payments is an option. I never even thought to look at that as an option as I've found previously that most payment processors don't like to mix, but if that's the case, wonderful!

I've viewed a few things, though I've found it's harder to look up actual articles that are selling in the 'offer' section. More or less it seems like it's 'systems' that are selling. Websites I'm used to seeing almost everyday just with a different eBook cover and selling story... Is there a better section to look at then the 'offer' section? As I am new the site as of the last few hours and there is so much content provided I feel I might need a point in the right direction.

As for patience, I have lots of it. I've been learning to make money online from home for years. My son is ill and I had trouble with the pregnancy so I was forced to leave work. Well it was a bit more complicated then that but, anyway... I've worked at building up ways to earn for years and I'm very motivated in continuing the trade so if it takes work to get it going, I have all the time in the world.

Thank you Jessie, that's very kind of you I could really use all the luck I can get

I went through all the payment processors. Unfortunately I found that Google is Google and Paypal is Paypal and there's no back way inbetween, and all others including e-junkie require a paypal account... They don't require the person buying to have one, but the seller must have one to set up the API and IPN correctly.

I guess I'll have to look for another shopping cart.

There is a crappy workaround, and you'd have to have a budget for it, but for about $200 a month (maybe more or less) you could hire a VA to deliver the content and maybe even manage sales...although you'd need to find someone you can trust to handle your money.

    Best wishes!

I see. Well, maybe in the future I'll have the budget for $200 a month but right now I'm running on fumes so to speak. It's always good to know there's options though, thank you.

Look around the Google Checkout features and see what you can do. Maybe they have a shopping cart built in you can use. I get a lot of people buying my PLR with Google Checkout.

Also, you could look into setting up a JV with someone where you write, they manage the store, and pay you half the profits. In fact, I know of one store where that is their main business model.

Maybe you can try plimus as payment processor, they accept paypal, but you don't have to have paypal to sell something, they will pay you to your bank account

    hope it help.

    thanks

I am in the same boat as you Aeristilheartly. After a lot of researching about ways to earn money online, I have come to the conclusion that writing and selling PLR's is totally what I would like to do. My problem is that Paypal simply does not offer its services in my country. There are hardly any options available for non-Paypal users. Everybody seems to love Paypal only.
    Anyway, best of luck!
I am going to follow this thread for advice regarding non-paypal options.

Did you have a look at 2checkout? Here's a list of the payment methods they can give to your customers: https://www.2checkout.com/faq/#faq_w...r_my_customers

I think I even meant to say 2 Checkout in my original post but said the wrong thing!
