Help Needed: Flashing Banner / Image With Email Submit Box / Flashing Arrow On Squeeze Page

Hi guys,

I'm stuck with the following and need some help here.

(1) Firstly, I'm trying to make some banners.

- How can I make a banner with flashing pictures? Can I control the speed of the flashing pictures too?

- How can I make one banner with two different ads so when you place your mouse on the left, it goes to one site and clicking on the right of the banner goes to a different site? Has anyone seen this type of banner ad around? To me it seems to be one whole banner but in two different parts unless I am wrong about this?

(2) Secondly, what is the html code for having an email submit box and button within a .jpg image?

(3) How do I make a flashing arrow on my squeeze page? Do I need some special html codes as well?

Many thanks for your input.

    Google Search- flashing html code

Whirly Gigs on a landing page or any page is a early '90's technique that is long dead... thankfully. If you want to skyrocket your bounce rate, this is a great way to do it.

They're just animated .gifs. Not hard to make. Get a designer to do it for you. Or PM me.

It's called an animated gif file and you can create it in Photoshop. The different pictures are just layers in Photoshop. When you save the file as a gif file, you specify the interval in seconds that you want the picture to flash.

Here is an example of one I did for a client. This flashes every 10 seconds.

To do the flashing arrow, the process is the same. Have two pictures: one with the arrow and one blank. Set the interval to whatever you want and save it as a gif file.

Thanks guys for your input. I will give it a go. Mbullard, I'll let you know if it doesn't work. And joseph7384, thanks for sharing the arrow image.

I still need some help with my 2nd question. I can't seem to find an example for now, so if anyone has any experience in what I have described, it would be great if you could help. This is the question:

      (2) Secondly, what is the html code for having an email submit box and button within a .jpg image?

^ You'll have to create a <div> to overlay it over the .jpg.
