        Also, there are loads of big sites with hundreds of thousands of visitors that have the word "kindle" in their domain, they have not been sued. If the site is making amazon money, i dont think you would be sued.

        Correct. It makes no difference to Amazon. They have registered the trademark.

        The thing is with trademarks is that companies have to defend them.

      If the sites are actively promoting a amazon product, which would make amazon money i dont think thats a problem.

        The law isn't based on what you "think" is OK - and amazon does take action against trademark infringement.

        If you want to use those domains - do it and take the risk yourself. Selling them to an unsuspecting person is not ok.

          Ive just deleted the domains. I dont want to make a fuss with amazon.

    Get hold of Amazon support and find out how aggressive they are in protecting their trademark. Some companies have a fit .. others will look the other way if you are not competing against them but rather an affiliate for them.

    As of now ... these domains are worth $10 each .. give or take a few cents .. and that is if they are usable.
