On your own website (if you have one to which you drive targeted traffic in the appropriate niche, and from which you're building a list). And in your own emails to your own subscribed potential customers.

In regard to SEO, I've been kind of leary about linking to anything CB related -- that because I suspect Google to have its radar up for affiliate marketing -- at least in my niche anyway. I hear they've been hammered with complaints from users (some people still don't understand what a search engine is) which I think has prompted them to push down sites connected to CB. Just a theory.

I'm not aware of a paid, easy way to make money promoting a CB product. If there is, I'm looking forward to hearing about it.

    I wish you well thedeadend.

Selling ClickBank products is about "the strength of your recommendation" to the customer. And for the most part, that depends on the strength of the relationship you have with them, and how much they trust you, how much credibility you have in their eyes, and what you've done to build up respect by serving their needs/interesting them, and so on.

In other words, it's nearly all about "pre-selling", and that's a relationship-building process.

It's true that you can outsource some parts of this (such as, for example, the site-building part), and you can pay for some parts (such as, for example, the targeted traffic, if you have the skills and experience to use PPC advertising for that purpose), but in general it's a labor-intensive process, one way and another. You can get to a point, eventually, where you have many parts of it either automated or semi-automated, but there's quite some learning-curve involved, to get there.

For the type of process you seem to be asking about, it might be much more feasible to use CPA offers, I think, than ClickBank offers.

Don't let them lie to you with their calls of "hard work" and "trust building". Go plug that link into Google Adwords. Heck, you might be able to get hours of advertising time before being found and subsequently banned .*

*DISCLAIMER: This is not a viable marketing method and should you try it, I will be forced to take your "IMer" card from you. If there was an easy, paid method to distribute your ClickBank links then everyone would be doing it. Affiliate marketing is about trust, so do the work if you want to see the benefits.

If you want to promote Clickbank products or get into affiliate marketing promoting other programs as well, I recommend you start a blog and build a list. Make sure you do your research and/or buy the product(s) you're promoting to make sure they are quality. People do not hasitate to get a refund from Clickbank nowadays.

    Good luck,
    Joey

The best place to advertise your ClickBank hop link is on your own blog or website. You then need to work on driving tracking to your site. It's that easy - or that hard - any way you want to look at it.

I tried to promote something in another niche and got nothing, so I emailed the support and asked them what works the best (they don't tell you what type of sites are in the network) and he said most of the viewers of the network are interested in the make money online niche.

They don't need to: you can see for yourself, on this page: Marketplace - ClickBank (see the list in red down the left side) ...

And there's also this page: Search Marketplace - ClickBank , where you can search by various combinations of parameters.

The "make money online" market isn't the same thing as the "internet marketing" market.

Neither is a "niche": both are "markets" (and huge ones).

There are no "viewers of the network", per se: all the sales pages are on the vendors' own sites.

Potential customers don't "go to ClickBank to see what's for sale". They look for (or are recommended) products on specific subjects, and find the vendors' sites, without the fact that the vendor is using ClickBank being relevant to them at all (and often without even being known by them!), while they're looking.

I don't mind all your "information" being so far removed from reality, but please excuse the observation that I was simply wondering whether you should be offering others advice based on it, as you were above: it's so easy for people to be totally misled and make dreadfully expensive mistakes, as a direct result of everything you've said being so wildly inaccurate and misguided.

Seriously, it would help you to read some of the information on ClickBank's website.

And some of the information on Ezine Articles' website, too, it seems: the site linked to in your signature-file here appears to be breaching Ezine Articles' terms of service (and therefore the author's copyright): you've taken someone's article but not included the links to his websites or even their url's at the end of it. You might want to correct that, perhaps? You can perhaps appreciate that it's really dispiriting for authors who make their work available for others to re-publish (as so many Warriors do) to find that it's been re-published without their getting any potential benefit from it at all?

I was talking about the sites on the ELeavers Advertising Network not Clickbank. That's who I emailed to find out what type of viewers their network of publishers cater to. I'm aware of the difference between IM vs Make Money Online, that's why I edited the post and clarified it in the reason for editing area. As far as the site in my sig, I'll check it out. That was a service done by a Warrior...fairly well known and respected.

OP asked a question, I gave an answer. Nothing more, nothing less.

Honestly I'm still testing and haven't made any sales yet, but a few people I've spoken with say that for every $20 spent they get around 5-7 conversions. The rates are so cheap that it's worth testing. That's why I threw in the comment about the 45 min sales page. That's enough to turn anyone off. I definitely see clicks though, so it's worth a shot if you want ppc direct to your hoplink.

You answered with a network you are "testing" but have no evidence as to whether or not it "has a good ROI". Since so far you have made nothing in the way of sales, we can even hazard a guess and say it has zero ROI.

If you read the thread completely you would have seen that I told him what my experience so far with the network is. I then let him know what others that I've spoken to have reported. He's a competent marketer I'm sure, so he can run his own tests and invest his own money to see if it works for him.

No offense, but telling me you're Joe Robinson means absolutely jack you know what to me . You could be a psychopath for all I know.

Solo ads might be doable, and worth investigating? There are a few good warriors offer that service.
You can't do the adwords-to-hoplink thing, cos it (a) won't work, and (b) will likely get your adwords account banned.
Forum signatures, in whatever your area is.
Squidoo/hub/other web 2.0 thingies where you write content and can post/include a link.

Here's the thing - if there is an easy way to do anything profitable in the IM area, there are smarter people than you with more money to spend on research and outsourcers, and that avenue will be driven until the profitability is exhausted. That's the way it is.

Maybe read some Cialdini ("Influence") or Seth Godin ("Permission Marketing").

Chris Guthrie is another I like, his first podcast talks about how the process to ongoing profitability took years. His podcasts (all the good ones, I'd reckon) don't talk about where to post a one-time hoplink.

Sorry, didn't answer your question (except that I'd explore solo ads for profitability within a well chosen audience).

There many ways for you to advertise via your own blog, other people's blog, but in terms of paid ads whatever platform you use you will have to do some testing. I have had success direct linking using Bing but it can be difficult to get good search volume with their keywords. Email marketing works well too.
