I would like to 1st apologize for the long post...thanks for reading.

Hello All!!

It has been a long time since I've been here, glad to see the Warrior Forum still strong.

In the past I launched a couple of websites that didn't really make me much money, which is okay I was able to gain a lot of knowledge in the process. It's been nearly 3 years since I've done something and now I want to dive into it again. My purpose, to make some extra money on the side.

However I have been out of the loop and I know things change.

I was hoping if perhaps some of the more experienced warriors can lend some advice on what to avoid.

I know I sound like a newbie...it's because I am

Here is what I have done:
1) I already have a target niche
2) I already have a URL
3) I'm using ultimate blogging theme for a web/blog
4) Already signed up on the sites I want to affiliate market for

My questions:
Are there particular plugins I should get?
What should I avoid?
Any SEO tools I should get my hands on?

Thanks a bunch for reading and again sorry if I come across like a newbie here.

Thanks!

The best general advice I can give you is to build useful, unique content & avoid spammy mass link building techniques.

Here are some of the stuff you may need:

      1. An autoresponder service - to capture emails and build your list. Very important.

      2. Plugins if you are setting up a wordpress blog:
      All in one seo plugin
      Wordpress stats
      Privacy policy plugin
      Contact form plugin
      XML sitemap plugin
gocodes - to mask your affiliate links.

Other than the above, there aren't much more tools that you'll need. If you are doing SEO, then the best advice I could give is to start slow and gradually scale up as your website ages and you MUST diversify your link building methods.

Don't focus on any one type of link building because if something major should happen then all would be lost. For example, a lot of persons were relying solely on blog networks and as a result when some of them went down, a lot of persons income literally dried up overnight as their website rankings fell.

Hmmm.. Seems like you need content to warm-up the visitors to buy the affiliate products you are promoting. Like if your niche is about getting a better body, you could create a post about how having 6 pack abs makes your life better (and at the end of the post you would recommend let's say "The Truth About 6 Pack Abs").

So, #1 is content. When you got that covered, you need traffic. PPC if you know what you are doing. Else, social presence or SEO
