I think internet marketing is the only place where being yourself is sometimes helpful to your career. I feel that you just write and then hire someone in Fiverr to help you with grammar and/or changing current PLR to suit your site and your personality.

I guess if you are sux at writing, perhaps you don't want to sell your own products because then you are forced to write...

sales copy is everything on the net but I prefer honest to goodness. Perhaps I am naive you know but I still believe in the goodness of people. I still believe that we sell what we think is best for others and not to hype up too much.

Like anything we are here and here again and if we persistent we will win. All have to pay our dues such as buying junks and junks and junks only to realize that we have what it takes to succeed if we believe in ourselves.

Just believe that you can write -- and just do it.

The wonderful thing about the web is that you don't have to be able to write well, or even at all, to run a blog or website.

I write for a lot of clients. Some of them don't have the time to write, others aren't interested in doing it themselves and some of them aren't able to write very well in English but want to target a western audience.

If you don't mind investing in your site a bit then you should just hire people to do what they're good at. This frees you up do what you're good at.

I don't think there are many website where one person does everything.

My English is also sucks. But I keep writing and reading other people blog, sales letter etc to keep improve. Yes you can outsource your writing needs but somehow you still need this skill to be improve because a lot of communication online involve writing.

Just make a routine to write something everyday and you will get better from day to day. Good luck.

Why not write in your own language?

Everyone is so dead set on writing in English, yet it's the world wide web.

I don't know which country your from, but as an exampleI would give anything to be fluent in Cantonese and or Portuguese to target those audiences.

Mark, there are a lot of people who have less ability to write in English than you do who have started very successful websites. They just need a small budget to outsource website content to people on an outsourcing marketplace. Make an account on vWorker.com: How work gets done. Guaranteed! , post a project. People will bid on it, and you can hire a reasonably priced, very talented writer.

If not vworker.com , there are other websites including Freelancer.com - Hire Freelancers & Find Freelance Jobs Online and www.elance.com as well. Don't let your writing skills stop you Good luck!

I love your username and when I read it my heart started racing. The real Mark from Facebook? lol - you can always outsource your writing. Most people are not good at writing and they outsource it to people that can write. You could also do videos instead of writing but every website has to have content on it.

You ask what kind of website doesn't require a lot of writing, and unfortunately the answer is that they all require a lot of writing. No matter what manner your IM business is, writing will be a big part of it.

That said, there are many places you can go to outsource the majority of the writing so you can focus on other aspects of building your site. Alternatively, you could use PLR as the main source of much of your content. Just be sure that the PLR you are using is quality writing before placing it on your site (many Warriors here have very reputable PLR sites, just take a look around).

This pseudo Mark that created this post has a few options if English isn't his natural skill.

There is vlogging, also known as video blogging. I wouldn't try that if you can't speak English this can get very annoying to your audience to decipher what is being said.

There is hiring a writer from Iwriter.com to write an article for your website. Hire a writer with more than a 4.0 rating for okay work or hire a writer with more than a 4.6 for better than expected kind of work. Then use this for your website content or voice overs.

Quality and paid voice overs will translate written text to voice in popular accents and professional voices. If you go with free voice over websites, then you will have the most crappiest recorded voices that sound like robots.

Sites like fiverr and flippa doesn't require much writing work as you can see on their homepage there is hardly any content at all.

Also another recommendation -> maybe you should put up your real photo so that the users of this forum can know that you're not the owner of facebook but just has the same common name

I know! You can make a HUGE social networking website.

You really don't need a lot of solid writing for that- just basic words like Name, Friends, We're changing our layout, etc.

I think you should go with the article syndication model.

Write an article and pay someone to edit it up to scratch.

Now spend a week trying to syndicate it everywhere you can.

      Rinse and repeat.

If your writing isn't great, try using video content or making a podcast. you can even get someone to transcribe the audio so that you don't miss out on the long-tail keywords.

  • I'd suggest doing the article research as best you can, putting together the structure of the article and then outsource it to someone with English as their mother language.

Chances are you'd get someone on Fiverr to rewrite your content for $5.

Well you could create a site where other people generate the content, with there photos and what they are doing doing the day.

Once you get a lot of people using it, you could sell adverts...

However a lot people will just put up silly pictures of cats

Writing, unfortunately, is a crucial part of every business model when it comes to making money online. With that said, writing for the internet isn't like writing for school. The average review is only about 450 words, and blog posts to be used more like articles for your site can be less than that. It's more like writing to a friend and telling them about a cool product you found or something. It's not about selling. That's what the sales page is for. You're just kind-of presenting information in such a way that it persuades the potential customer to buy whatever you're selling.

    Good luck,
    Joey

If you don't have the skills yet in writing then just have someone do it for you. Hire some professional writers out there, I'm sure there's tons of them. However, not being good in something should not hinder you from stopping there. You should always have the willingness to learn and not limit your self. I mean, if you really want to succeed, you won't let your weakness become the reason of your epic failure someday. Avoiding is a coward thing to do, if you can't do anything about your weaknesses then you will keep on rejecting good opportunities along your way. This is just a piece of advice, you can take it or just leave it be.

I hope you'll discover the right path for your success! Good luck!
