Is this market flooded?

I've been working on a website, but I'm starting to have doubts. I was wondering if you guys thought it's a good market still, or if it's too flooded. I basically review smartphone apps. If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, the site is here: Phone App Thoughts - Home It's extremely new, so please don't be too harsh .

It's a pretty good layout, I like the look and feel! I'm not much help in terms of whether the market is over saturated but I believe that no niche could ever have too much information or opinions.

    Here is what is important....

The QUALITY and the SCOOP of your reviews. Build a community of phone app users. Use videos and distribute them on Youtube, Dailymotion etc. Brand yourself.

Then continue doing it every single day.

    Your traffic will explode.

All profitable niche markets have competition. Don't view it as a bad thing. It just means that there's a market out there for what you're promoting and that there are lots of opportunities to make money from it. It's all about getting your foot in the door. Trust me. I'm in the IM niche. Just focus on providing value to the end user and finding your own voice. Everything else will fall into place.

    Good luck,
    Joey

I also believe that every online market is saturated these days. Due to the sheer volume of people working as affiliate marketers nowadays, nothing is going to be free of a huge amount of competition.

You can be successful in any niche with a lot of hard work and determination. I wouldn't let a lot of competition stop you from pursuing this project if you truly believe you can provide quality content.

your niche is still open for business, its not that staurated but it shouldnt matter how saturated it is
the important thing is how you make your way in there.

People are still building and releasing those, right?

You can probably keep reviewing them as long as that keeps happening.

A flooded market is not a bad market to get in too. Flooded Markets seem to have lots of competition going on but as long as you provide your customers with relevant content and work hard on your SEO you will dominate, not much people actually think about giving true value to their customers, those are the ones who go down on the market. It just all comes down to determination, persistence and value.

I definitely think there is money to be made in the smartphone niche in general.
When you dig in deeper within app reviews - you can say that iOS app review niche is flooded. Same goes for Android.

So you are left only with WP7 that seems to be the rising star in the mobile market and only few sites have focused exclusively on it. Or why not Bada, MeeGo?

Just a personal advice. The header idea is cool. Keep that idea and get it designed in a more professional way. I am sure you are aware that fiverr is great for such design jobs. Some guys do crazy logos/headers for 5 bucks.

Your site looks pretty good but you might want to wait a while before adding too much advertising to your home page (specifically the netflix ad - not the amazon items).

Google takes the advertising on your page into account. Your also better off to build up readership and trust before adding much advertising.

Are you suggesting I go Windows Phone 7 only? Is that enough of the market to matter?

I'd love to suggest that, because I'm a big Microsoft booster. But I can't. There are too many people who love the Android and iPhone.
