I don't understand squeeze pages

Hi guys,

Just something I'm not sure I understand. Are squeeze pages simply one-pagers that promote a product/service that you optimize and buy a domain for?

If it's just one page, surely Google won't like that? If you're relying on SEO traffic, this would be a bad idea no? Surely it's best to create a squeeze page within your site?

drive traffic to the squeeze page. Its a simple page to get the end user to do something, buy something, sign up for something.

Squeeze pages are pages that are designed with ONE
specific goal in mind: e.g. to get the contact details
of the site visitor (e-mail address etc.).

To do this effectively, squeeze pages are very basic
and have the minimum of distractions.

Typically, a squeeze page will have a headline, some
copy (text or video) and an opt-in form.

So, no unnecessary distractions or highly visible links
to other parts of your site where people can stray off
    to.

These pages increase the visitor-to-subscriber opt-in
    rate.

    Dedicated to mutal success,

A squeeze page is simply a page with an opt-in form on it, designed to get people on your list. If it's a simple page designed to promote/presell a product, it's called a landing page.

The squeeze page doesn't improve your SEO campaings but it helps a lot. Squeeze pages don't necessary need to be a page in itself. You can easily add your email submit form in a box on you index page...

This will help you get leads easier and increase you subscribers list...

You can, Andrei, but if you do that, what you're using isn't a "squeeze page".

A squeeze page is simply a page with a prominently incentivized (by text/video/whatever) opt-in and no other content. What you describe above is a variety of "opt-in page" but it isn't a squeeze page.

Squeeze page = build email subscribers, e.g. enter your email address for free report etc.

As someone pointed out above, Squeeze Pages are basically single pages with a provision for visitors to enter their details and join someone's mailing list. Templates and Videos are used to enhance the layout of these pages to make them visually appealing to visitors.

Keep in mind that, most times, people will not get to your squeeze page by performing a google search and seeing your link on the first page. Your goal is to attract people to your squeeze page through affiliates, sales videos, etc

As mentioned already... squeeze pages allow you to
    build a subscriber list.

Which means insurance from Google slaps. =)

A squeeze is a basically a page to collect details of your potential customer. The reason for building a list of your customer is not only to sell your product.

With a list of your potential customer you can basically contact them over and over again to share with them your other products.

Typically squeeze pages do not rely on SEO . Traffic is driven with article marketing, and other backlinking methods to the squeeze page... A slightly different concept from organic websites on google.

The primary purpose of a squeeze page is to collect name and email address for future marketing.

When the visitors first land on your page, they are "strangers" and they are skeptical because they don't know you. When you give them a free report in exchange for their name and email, they will trust you more because they perceive you as a giver and not a taker.

After that, you can send them useful information, build relationship with them and turn them into "prospects". Once they trust you, it is much easier to sell to them and you can turn them into "customers". Eventually some will become "long term customers" and you can sell to them over and over again.

Think big, think long term and build a list!

I sincerely wish you all the very best!

    To your success,

Squeeze page is one page with a headline/video and few bullet points, free gifts, to entice people to opt-in to your list so that you can send them emails and sell them stuffs etc. Its not for SEO or free traffic to your site.

Squeeze page - a page where you get visitors to buy a product or submit their email address for you to sell a product later through emails. Of course you can also send the mails interspersed with content so that they do not unsubscribe.

A squeeze page can be on your main domain as www.mydomain.com. It can even be on a sub-domain e.g. www.subdomain.mydomain.com or a sub-page like www.mydomain.com/subpage.

Indeed SEO will likely not work for squeeze pages, because a squeeze page is really a single page. So there's not much "depth" to rank well in the search engines.

What you can do is try to rank for some very low-competitive keywords and include some high-quality content on the squeeze page... That may work, but really only for low-competition keywords.

Ideally you want to drive traffic in another way; PPC, PPV, FB or some bum marketing methods like video marketing or article marketing.

    Cheers,
    Trev

1 page are OK with google if you do it right. You can also drop some links at the bottom of your page. You should use independent squeeze page on different domains and have optin forms on your core website.

A squeeze page is a portal for you to build your list. They are single HTML pages. You write a header, a bullet list, and maybe throw on a video all promoting your FREE product. Then, in order to read/view your free product, people have to enter their names and email addresses. This is how you builds your list.

I think by all this above good answer you will understand how the squeeze page works but now what you need to do is put into action for traffic, developing free gifts and so on.. if you keep on thinking whether it will work on it, how can you assume until you don't put into action than you will see results.. I hope this helps..

One author said its purpose was to get the visitor to paint or get off the ladder (roughly translated). Take action now or go away, effectively.
